November 19, 2009:  Beautiful Cash arrived at our home over the weekend and we have fallen in love!  He is a gorgeous, young, blond male that was surrendered because he likes to chase deer…..silly boy! Cash has not been to the vet yet, so not sure of his age but my guess is he is 2 years at the oldest!  He has beautiful teeth, big feet and is all playful puppy.
 
I try to keep my kids away from new foster dogs for the first few days to allow the dog time to settle and observe how they act around children, but it has been impossible with Cash.  He is so affectionate and loves playing with the kids!  He runs up, leans into and drops on his back, belly up waiting for tummy rubs. Cash loves playing with our resident Mia and she is thrilled to have a buddy to hang with her.  Cash is going to the vet this weekend for his checkup, will be neutered the Friday after Thanksgiving and then will be ready to meet his forever family.

Cash has been with us a week and is amazing!  He has been to the vet, is current on all vaccinations and tested negative for heartworm. Cash let me brush him for an hour last night and patiently waited while I pulled out matts.  He also had his nails cut; ears cleaned and was a dream!  Today he had a shower and he looks and smells amazing! Cash has been doing well during walks although still pulls on a leash, but overall he is an extremely affectionate and playful boy. He does enjoy counter surfing but we are working on that.  Cash has been a joy to foster! I need to find a family for him soon or will adopt him myself!!
