Dear RAGOM,

It is with a heavy heart that we write to you to let you know that our Duke (08-229) crossed the rainbow bridge on January 9, 2019. We are heartbroken, but know he is pain free, running, rolling and chasing bubbles to await for a meeting with us again someday!  

Duke joined us in his forever home in May 2008. What can we say about Duke? He was THE perfect companion for our three boys and my wife and me. He was a snuggler, he loved to play, chase bubbles, chew on bones/toys and he was always close by our side!

Duke had the full run of our home and yard. He loved to be outside running with our boys, laying in the grass or rolling in the snow. He loved car rides and walks and rarely needed to have a leash on. He was there for us when we needed him most - when one of us was sick or feeling down or when we just needed a wet puppy nose. He used his nose or his paw to gently nudge you to remind us we were not alone.

Duke was good with all people and animals and he was loved by so many! He was a favorite to our neighbors and he would always appreciate a good tummy rub! He also had a knack for cleaning up after our boys as he loved to catch their food crumbs - some thrown to him intentionally. Duke was an amazing dog!   

In his last few months with us, Duke's health declined and we were told it may be cancer related. We kept him comfortable and loved on him all the way to his last day with us. On the morning he crossed the rainbow bridge, I was with him and I snuggled him as he fell asleep peacefully in my arms. Letting Duke go has been one of the hardest things we have ever had to do, but we know he is feeling so much better now!    

We cannot thank RAGOM enough for allowing us to be Duke's forever home. Duke was such a blessing to all of us and we miss him dearly! I am including some photos with this email so you can see how much fun we had with him and how much he loved us unconditionally in return.  

Thank you again for Duke!  We are forever grateful for RAGOM and the time we had with him.
