Our magnificent Ben (TANNER 08-83) crossed over the Rainbow Bridge today. It was a sad day for our family.

Ben saw many changes in his life. His kids grew up, his parents divorced but Ben got the house and everyone always came to see him (once in awhile he got to visit mom in her new house).

He had been suffering with kidney disease, a nasal tumor (malignant), and hip dysplasia. The vet announced he was a miracle dog when he rebounded this summer, he felt good enough to enjoy much of the past six months.

A couple weeks ago another nose bleed took too much out of him and his time had come. He had a very peaceful passing today, his girl said goodbye to him this morning, his other girl and boy, along with both mom and dad were all at he vet with him for the final moments.

Ben had a great golden life, we will miss him dearly.

Well, the last of our puppy fosters.. Mr. Tanner boy went home last night! YAY for Tanner and the "P" family :) Sad for foster mom and dad :( and foster sister Gracie who just loved playing with the pup! Tanner had the most infectious personality of any puppy I have ever met, and always could make you smile... even if it was as the sun was rising and he was just determined to get us to PLAY!

We know Tanner, who will now be known as Ben, will keep his new family on their toes! And his furr brother Nick on his paws :) The first report from his new family was that things are going well... Nick even let his little brother chase his tail :) We look forward to watching you grow little guy! We love you and are so happy that you are HOME!

The photo is of Tanner, at sunrise... his favorite time of day :) I was thinking this was one thing I didn't mind passing off to his new family... but looking at that face.. I even miss the sunrise awakenings :) Just a little bit!

Tanner Ba-nan-er is doing GREAT! Tanner is a fiesty little guy who always has something to say :) He doesn't sleep as much as his brother Hastings, he is always ready to go! He is really smart, he has been picking up on the house training very quickly, and will even go and sit by the patio door and cry to be let outside! YAY Tanner! He also just loves the snow :) That fresh inch or so we got last night was cause for a puppy party! Tanner just loved romping around and playing in the fresh snow... it was adorable!

Tanner would love to meet that special family that is waiting just for him! If you are interested in meeting this special little guy, who is cute as can be... please email placementatragom [dot] org so we can talk.

Thanks for reading up on Tanner, stay tuned!

Tanner has moved to a new foster home, and we are so very happy to have him :) It was time for Tanner to be separated from his mom and most of his litter mates (except for Hastings, who is also here in our home). He also needed to start working on potty training and all that other fun puppy stuff! Well, I don't have to tell you that Tanner is CUTE as can be! He is an 8 week old golden mix but looks just like any golden retriever puppy I have ever seen :-) Maybe even cuter! He quickly became my favorite of Violet's litter because he is so silly! Tanner is a bit of a trouble maker and has no fear! He is a brave little guy and is having a ton of fun exploring the world. He is doing really well learning to potty outside! He and Hastings kept their crate clean today (they were in about 3.5 hrs.)... so that is wonderful!! He will learn fast and love much!! He got a bath tonight in the sink and was great... he even took a nap!

We will be going to the vet tomorrow to be microchipped, and given a booster, and a once over to make sure all is good, after that... he'll be ready for his forever home! Contact placementatragom [dot] org if you're interested! Hurry... this cutie pie won't last long!
