Sunny (Sunny /Charlie Bear 00-284)

Profile

Charlie Bear is about 2 years old. He is a small male with a long, straight golden coat. He gets along well with both cats and dogs. Loves to be loved.is our miracle boy! It turns out he was shot with a rifle. The good news is -- He has fabulous hip sockets, he will not have a limp or any residual effects from the gun shot, the bullet was successfully removed. He is the best patient. His neuter and bullet stitches itch and he will turn to lick. The minute his foster mom tells him "no" he stops and looks at her.   His drive to please is even stronger than his drive to scratch an itch! He gets along so well with the cats and other dogs. This guy deserves the best home and we are looking for just that now. If Charlie Bear is your dream golden, contact RAGOM now.

I wanted you to know that my dog, “Sunny”, was put down last night (January 29, 2015) because of system failure.  I adopted him from your organization in December of 2000 while I was living in Minnetonka (lost my address from so long ago, but it also had a Hopkins zip code).  You have him in your records as “Bear”.  He was actually imported for adoption from South Dakota, and I received him when he was about one.  Sunny had been shot in South Dakota, with the bullet entering his hind leg and going into his stomach.  In the 14 years we were together, he never had any ambulatory or digestive problems.

Sunny was a miracle dog!  A “Rescue Dog”?  Sure, he rescued me from a devastating, unexpected divorce—and from a deep depression.  He brought love, warmth, joy, adoration, and never ending loyalty into my life.  I re-paid him with kindness and love that was born out of gratitude for the constant and undying adoration he gave me.  His very existence was truly a blessing to all whom he came in contact with.  My wife Lesley was especially blessed with his presence for his last eight years.

In the end I can testify that he had a stellar life with me, and I with him.

Thank you for letting me adopt him, for giving me this great gift that brought me so much love!

Sunny gets his groove on!
