Lakota 01-378

Profile

Lakota arrived at our home today and is he ever a fabulous dog!!  He is eight and a half months old and weighs approx. 45 (thin) pounds.  I think that he will be 55 to 60 pounds when he stops growing.  He is a beautiful light red color with the beginnings of his feathers already coming in.  As he appears to be house-broken and will ask to go out, we are giving him run of the house (no accidents yet).

Best of all, he has the best temperament anyone could hope for!  He was raised with small children and is very gentle with them.  Lakota could easily fit into any family, but the best family to get him would be one with small children as he would really be a good companion for them!

Today we said goodbye to our sweet boy, Lakota (01-378). We adopted him as a 9 month old puppy over 13 years ago and we immediately fell in love with him. He has been a gentle and loving member of our family who grew up with our boys and welcomed our newborn daughter home from the hospital 8 years ago. We will miss him greatly. Thanks, RAGOM, for introducing us to the best dog we could have ever asked for. He was the perfect fit for our family. The D Family

From Lakota's new family...

Dear RAGOM,

On Jan 6th we brought a 9-month-old Golden named "Lakota" home to live with us. Little did we know how much work was ahead! However, once Lakota finally figured out the routine around here and we got used to each other, we've all been doing just fine. He is responding well to his obedience training, and has been great with our 3 young children. We are trying to cure him of his bad habits of counter-surfing and chewing up tissues that he digs out of the garbage! He has almost been as much work as a child, but we know that it will be worth it in the future. He has been a great addition to our family. Thanks for your conscientious work. We would feel extremely comfortable recommending RAGOM to anyone who is looking to adopt a dog.

Sincerely,
Jeff and Wendy and family

What a joy it has been to have Lakota at our house!   We knew all along that he would sit, come and stay on command but we discovered that he also can sit up and shake hands.  Lakota has found a forever home and will be going to live with them as soon as he is neutered which will be just after the first of the year.  His new home has three small boys who will find their new "brother" to be a wonderful companion to them as they all grow up together.  The hardest part will be letting this little guy go, but I am sure that he will have a wonderful life with his new family!
