It is with a sad heart that I must report that Casey, (originally known as Tank), had to be put down on Friday, October 12. We acquired Casey as a rescue dog from RAGOM in June of 2002. He was timid at first, didn’t know how to play with other dogs or even go up or down stairs. However, our three year old Shana (Collie-Husky-Shepard mix) was quick to help train Casey. The two dogs were inseparable, playing together, eating together, and even doing their business together! Casey was sweet and easy going, just wanted to be petted or touched or held. He got really excited to go outside and was equally excited to come back in! He was happy all of the time and was the best friend that anyone could have asked for!

In December 2011 he was diagnosed with bone cancer and given about 5 months to live. He beat the odds until October 12 when his quality of life had decreased to the point that I had to carry him out to do his business and the cancer was now in his lungs. That dog meant the world to me and will be forever missed! We will be making a RAGOM donation in his name.

Thanks for all that you do!
