4/11/03: Lizzie is here. She is adorable and so far has passed the Lucky test. Also she laid down when my 8 pound kittie yelled at her. She is quite small, intake notes say 42 pounds. She is a mix of some sort but very golden looking, like a fuzzy golden. We have a vet appointment on Tuesday so I'll know more then. I imagine she will be a very quick placement...she is up-to-date on her shots and is heart worm negative, she just needs a fecal and a vet check.

We are missing our fluffy girl who became part of our family in 2003. We will miss her creative counter cruising, her love for chasing squirrels and bunnies, walks to Lake Calhoun where she loved to wade after the geese, and her begging for fortune cookies! She got through part of her "bucket list" before we lost her on Monday. This included one final trip to our lake cabin where she loved to sniff the breezes while lounging in the long grass, roll in the dead fish on the shore, and "run away" from us. It was all part of the game she played there. Some of her ashes will be scattered at Lake Koronis, and some under her favorite red maple tree in our front yard.
