Hi, I'm Stella (formerly known as Wanda). I just arrived at my foster home and wanted to send in a report on what I found. So far no kids! Can you believe they don't have any half size people? I looked in all the rooms, even the bathrooms...no kids! See I am kid tested and approved. Lived with two 7 year old boys, how can you be more tested than that!

I am 5 years old, a Golden and Lab cross and shiny black in color with brown eyes and nice white teeth. My family had some changes and wasn't able to keep me so I am looking for a new place to plunk my dog bed and bowl.

Let me see what else should I tell you....I am happy, like other dogs even the BIG one that lives here, use a Gentle Leader cuz I like to pull some when you walk with me. Humans just walk slower than I like so the Gentle Leader is a good thing. Guess this one is important to people...housetrained. I like to eat, really like to eat so sometimes I like to help myself to the snacks on the counters. Haven't tried it here yet, thought I would break her in easy...! I will write more as I get to know the people here. Enjoy the summer fun, I will!

I am very happy to report that our beautiful girl was adopted to a wonderful family in South Range, WI.

Stella will spend her days playing with her new canine and human sisters, swimming in the stream in her backyard, and living the golden life with all of the love and care she could ever wish for.

The pictures are from the last couple of days Stella spent with us.  Her favorite time was mealtime and her favorite treat was Dairy Queen.  On the way to her new home we stopped for her special treat!

We will always love you, Stella.

Stella is doing great!  We finally have her allergies under control!  She will be eating hypoallergenic food for the rest of her life but that is a small thing to keep her happy and comfortable.
After several vet visits, medications and the dreaded doggy cone, we know that Stella's skin is healthy, her paws are no longer red and irritated, and she is feeling good!   Her paws are clear, but she still wants to lick them when she gets the chance, the vet warned us that if this continues it is behavioral and there are things that can be done about that.  This is very good news considering we didn't know what the problem was a short time ago.

We've noticed a bit of a change in Stella now that she has a clean bill of health.  She has always been delightful but even more so now.  I think she is just so glad to be feeling good, not itching and irritated.  It is fun to watch her initiate play with Toby, our resident dog.  She'll tease him with toys, wrestle with him and play chase.  She also seems to be more loving with us.  She is constantly jumping up to kiss us and smiling from ear to ear!

I've attached a few pictures. Two are a bit older, from around Christmas, when Stella had her first hotel stay and then with her Christmas present.  The other is more recent.  One of her favorite things to do is lay by the window and look outside at the birds.  It is her favorite spot in the house!

Hi-

Stella attended a Petco event in Richfield last Saturday and had a great time. She got along with all of the dogs and enjoyed all of the extra attention she received from everyone!

We have always known that Stella would love to chase squirrels and we found out that she also would love ferrets and bunnies!  She met a few at Petco and had her nose right up against the glass to follow their every move!  If your home has small animals - she would probably chase!

Thankfully the glass protected the small animals and a good time was had by all!

Hello from Stella!

Stella is enjoying her daily walks, playing with resident dog Toby and living a golden life but she still waits for her forever family.

This sweet girl needs a permanent home.  She may be the perfect dog for you!

Stella's doing well and is looking forward to the holidays knowing that Santa will be bringing her something special!  She loves playing in the snow with her foster brother and her foster dad.  Although Stella gets along with her foster brother, she would love nothing more than to be an only pet so she could soak in all the attention.

She would also do best in a home without small children, but she loves adults and teens.  She will be the most loyal companion to her forever family.

Hi -

First, Stella and I would like to say a very big Thank You to her sponsors Mary and Carl S.  Stella knows that she has a couple of wonderful people looking out for her and wants to send her kisses your way.

It has been a couple of weeks since I've updated Stella's information.  We have been busy living life and having a good time with her.

Stella went to the Coon Rapids Petco a couple of weeks ago and had the opportunity to visit another Ragom volunteer's home before the event.  By all accounts she did a wonderful job.  She was able to meet another doggy friend and after initally meeting she made herself at home and did very well with the other dog.  She loves to play with other dogs and she is a very happy dog who loves attention.

Stella has been with us for almost two months.  She is doing wonderful and is really coming into her own.  She loves going for walks.  She is a wonder on the leash with the gentle leader.  She doesn't pull and she gleefully prances along to our walking pace.  We've even started jogging with her and she loves it.
Her personality is really coming through.  She is generally very sweet and can be delightfully sassy at times.  She is great with our resident dog Toby 07-658.  She is also good with our two cats.  She is treat and affection motivated and is willing to learn the rules of the house.  She still has problems with counter surfing.  She nabbed a piece of pizza last week!  So that is something we're working on with her.
She is a very happy dog and she smiles all the time.  Her coat has a beautiful shine.

She will make a wonderful companion.
