Did I mention that Mabelleen is totally house trained, comfortable with being kenneled up for short periods of time, yet completely house trustworthy? Did I mention that she doesn't dig for fun, loves to ride in the back seat (but not the back deck), enjoys carrying a ball in her mouth, doesn't beg for people food at the dinner table, and doesn't snore when she's asleep! Mabelleen has so many great things going for her...I'll not be able to mention them all!
Did I mention that Mabelleen gets along fabulously with other dogs including Dakota H, and *Ford Nygaard, formerly RAGOM Gabriel 04-258. The three friends are pictured below. Hint, the blonde one is Dakota, the mostly hidden one is Ford, and Mabelleen is...
*(Ford / Gabriel was originally 'Lance', rescued from a garbage can by a local Humane Society at less than 19 hours old! They called RAGOM to ask if we could take him, as he required bottle feeding every two hours and temperature maintenance around the clock during those early days. It's one of many instances of cooperation where one animal aid group works with another to assist or save an animal. The two A.H.S. volunteers who nursed him through his first night came to the RAGOM booth at the State Fair this past Thursday, specifically to see him. He was adopted by RAGOM Founder Jane Nygaard who was also his foster mom, so they knew he'd be there when she was!
