Teddy was adopted to the L family. He will join a Golden Doodle fur brother named Henry. They will get to experience many adventures together and his new family couldn't be any more in love with him. We will miss Teddy dearly but, know that Teddy could not be in a better place.

Teddy checking in here. I just wanted to give a quick update on how things are going.
First of all, I want to tell everyone that my foster family took me to Goldzilla and it was so "PAWSOME." I had SO much fun meeting everyone and you would not believe all the treats they had there! I also want to thank Pam and Janet for the paw print donation. You sure know how to make a dog feel special!! My foster mom was so impressed with how well my foster sister and I rode in the car all the way from Fargo. I sure hope I get to go next year because I sure don't want to miss that party.
Things have been going really well around here. My foster family had some sort of party this weekend and there was like a ton of people here. I really enjoy having company and my foster mom said I was so well behaved. Except the part where I finished off the last two cupcakes...they really should know better than to leave peanut butter cupcakes on the counter.
I have heard talk around here that there is some interest from someone who wants to meet me. I can't wait! Until then, I'll just keep being a good boy.

Hey, everyone. It's me, Teddy, also known as Teddy Bear (which my foster family has started calling me). It has been a little wild around here. Sadly, I was surrendered to RAGOM, as there was a death in my family. My life has changed so much in the last few weeks, but I just wanted to let you know I am doing well in my foster home and I am ready to find my forever home!
Let me share some things about myself. I am an almost-4-year-old Goldendoodle, and from what I hear my foster family say, I am quite a habdsome "Dood." I am all up to date with my vaccinations and preventstives. I weigh 62 lbs, and the vet said that is a great weight for me. I had a little discharge in my eyes, which I got some pintment for. The vet thinks that it is probably from seasonal allergies.
At my foster home, I live with a 6-year-old Golden Retriever, and we get along pretty well. We have not had and squabbles, but often times I like to take all the toys and I choose which ones she gets to play with. My favorite toy is just a good, plain old ball. I like to catch the ball; however, giving it back is still a challenge. I am completely house trained and have had no accidents ever. I am good at letting someone know that it's time for me to go out. I usually do this by giving someone a good stare - and a little whine if it's real serious! Going for walks is fun for me. I do pretty well on the leash and don't pull that much. I usually go for 1-2 walks per day with my foster sister and we walk really nicely together. OK... OK... I guess I have to turn this over to my foster mom so she can share some of the things she has learned about me.
Teddy is one of the cutest Goldendoodles that I have ever seen. He has such great coloring, and his fur is so soft. We really enjoy having him around. We have learned a little about him since he has been living here. For the most part, he really is a happy-go-lucky kind of dog. He gets along well with our resident dog; they are mostly ignoring each other. Neither one of them has initiated any real play yet, but maybe that will change as they get to know one another. We do know that Teddy lived with two other dogs in his previous home, so he does have some experience living with other dogs.
Teddy does need to work on a lot of his manners. It appears as if he does not know many of the basic commands, like "sit," "stay," "leave it," or "shake." We are starting to work with him, but it must be a priority for his new family to do some obedience training. Another one of his quirks is that he has started mouthing and jumping when someone comes home. It seems as if he is doing this for attention, as he mouths your hands/sleeves and jumps up to greet you. For this reason, his forever home will not be able to have any small children.
Teddy is not crate trained. Since he has been at his foster home, he has had free roam. He sleeps on the floor at night and does not get into any mischief. The most he has been left alone is 4 hours with free roam, and I think he was trying to tell me that I need to do a better job with the laundry. He thought he should spread it out around the house to let me know that I should really wash clothes once in a while. Hint noted... but I think from now on, I will just close the laundry room door!
It has been a pleasure having Teddy stay with us. He gets so many compliments from the neighborhood. He really seems like he has kind soul, but definitely has some work to do on his behavior. If you are looking to invest some real training and show tons of patience and lots of love with Teddy, then submit an inquiry if you think he is a good fit.
