Koda is now cast free and back to running across the yard like a crazy man. He likes the snow so he has been quite happy lately. He definitely needs lots of space to run.
We are getting to know him better all the time. His favorite thing to do in the house is find the most comfortable spot and claim it as his. This usually involves furniture, blankets, pillows, and stuffed toys.
When there are no humans in the house he is a bit mischievous. He collects coats and shoes. If your coat is hanging on a hook it won’t be there when you get home. He will find a way to get it off the hook and snuggle with it.
Any shoe left within reaching distance will also be displaced somewhere. This may involve a find-the-shoe game. However, he is never destructive other than a few ripped loops that your coats used to hang from.
He will also find a window to look out so it’s mandatory that one be within his viewing height. He will do best in a home where he is not alone much. I think he also enjoys his fur brothers and sisters.
Koda is a very sweet, calm, well mannered, and loving guy. He loves to run, chase squirrels and rabbits, and carry around stuffed toys. He can never be in a situation where he could come in contact with an unneutered male dog. There must be something in his past that sets him off in this situation.

It’s been an eventful two weeks for Mr Koda as he broke a bone in his foot. He was chasing a squirrel in the yard and it just happened. Of course he does run at warp speed! He had a splint on for a week, he cracked that splint so another one went on on Tuesday. Then yesterday one of his toenails hanging out the end of the splint cracked so back today for a new one again and a toe nail fix.
Each time the vets puts on a different animal print splint. Today’s he’s a Bengal tiger which he seems to like better than the giraffe one he had. He thinks the tiger one is more manly! He’s taking all this with ease, however, being his lovey dovey self. He does seem to think he deserves extra attention and treats now. Koda will have another two weeks of wearing a splint to heal up.

Hello! My name is Koda, and I am looking for my very own family to love me, spoil me, and let me hang out with them all the time. My FM (foster mom) didn't get any information about my prior life, but I'm pretty sure that I spent a lot of time outside, as I really love it. If I can just sit on your deck and protect the property from critters, I would be super happy. I will come when you call me and I have no intention of running away - I like my people. I am a very fast runner, and you would never think I am 11 when you see me play outside and run around. I love exploring.
When I'm in the house, I really like soft spots, like your couch or bed and, really, anywhere you are that I can see you. I'm pretty chill in the house, but I do like to carry around my toys. I won't chew them at all, as I like to keep them nice. I will carry your shoes around the house so we can play hide-and-seek, but I won't chew them either. I really like children, but sometimes I get excited and I might jump on them a little. I also like to look out the window and I like to bark at anyone I see outside.
I have 2 dogs in my foster house and I like them a lot. They are kinda old, 9 and 11, and I can run faster than they can! I don't really care if I have a fur brother or sister or not. I'll be nice to them if I do, as I am not aggressive.
As you can see by my pictures, I am stunningly beautiful, and my FM says my personality matches my looks. I know that I'm really a sweetheart, as I am told that all the time.
I could use to gain a little weight, but I am healthy other than that. I am a bit itchy and I like to scratch myself, and if you do it, that's even better. I'm trying some new food with a bit more oil in it, and that might help. I am going to visit the vet again next week to get some sort of a surgery so I can't be a dad anymore.
So, if you want a perfect companion, it is me! I will tell you when I need to go outside; I won't beg for food or steal it from anyone; I will ride in the front seat in the car with you so I can help navigate, but I don't mind lying down in the back either - I just like to go for rides. I will be eye candy for you to show off, keep you company, give you snuggles, and I will always greet you at the door when you come home! Just let me know when you want to meet me!
