Nikki has fully recuperated from her spay surgery last week, and is back in high gear.  Her daily routine is getting us up around 5-5:30,   She goes out, and is really good about doing her business.  She then comes charging into the house ready for her breakfast.  She has gotten much better about respecting the other dogs food bowls.  After she eats, she makes 5-6 trips to the toy box, and brings several toys and bones up to play with. When it gets light enough outside, she and Aspen, and Goldie go on the first walk of the day.  She gets at least 2 more walks throughout the day. She also plays ball, and wrestles with the resident dogs. Dinner time is around 4, and she is always anxious to eat.

Nikki loves to meet new people. She has a lot of energy, and we are working on correcting her bad habit of jumping on you when she meets you.  She would do best in a home with children over 10, because of her excitement.

Nikki would also do best with a family that is home a good share of the day.  We have tested her by leaving her home with the resident dogs, uncrated, for up to an hour, and she has been good about not getting into anything. She follows our dogs lead, and is happy to be with them.

Well it’s been another very busy day for her, and as you can see, she is all tuckered out. A tired dog is a happy dog.

Little miss Nikki is about as sweet a puppy as you can find.  She is 5 months old and a very smart girl.  She sits when waiting for her meals, understands what you mean when you tell her go potty.  She is a puppy, and does jump up to greet you, and likes to give you kisses. She is learning about walking on a leash, and gets better every day.  She follows the lead of our resident dogs, and likes to engage play with them. Nikki will need her spay done, and then is ready for her forever home. She has a lot of energy, and will require exercise every day. She is very social, and is happy to meet people, and other dogs.
