Hamilton is a beautiful, goofy, happy-go-lucky boy who came to us from Turkey. He is about 18 months old now.

He suffered some kind of trauma to his leg as a puppy and as a result his growth plate on the right leg closed too early. So the bones in that leg stopped growing. It is about 2 inches shorter than the other leg, and he doesn't have full range of motion in it.

But that doesn't stop him from running and playing, although he isn't as fast or graceful as most dogs. But he doesn't care! This boy wants to play with every dog he has met and loves all people—big and small! We are totally in love with him.

We are still awaiting the orthopedic surgeon's opinion on whether that leg can be made more comfortable, especially as he ages. Right now he is on high doses of fish oil, glucosamine/chondritin, and Vitamin E with selenium per the surgeon's recommendation.

We know he will make a wonderful foster brother to all of our future foster dogs. We couldn't be more thrilled.
