BooBoo has found her family. She is being adopted by an active retiree. She will live in a home with one step in and another out to the deck of her large fenced yard. There will be a person home with her most days, and a cat that will be her house mate.

BooBoo's family will be taking her to obedience classes. The goal is for BooBoo to become a Canine Good Citizen. They will also be arranging lots of play dates with the dogs of their family and friends.

BooBoo's medical condition will be watched carefully, and her special physical needs will be taken into consideration in her daily life. She will have plenty of love and attention from her new family. This was a love match from first sight.

BooBoo is a 4-year-old Golden Retriever. She is a short girl and a little on the stocky side. Her foster home is working on helping her lose a few pounds.

BooBoo is a beautiful red color with a light blond undercoat. She has unusually large "pompons" on her rear end. We think she was the captain of the cheerleading team in a previous life.

BooBoo has the classic Golden disposition and as sweet as can be. Boo loves all dogs and likes children and cats. She is extremely docile around people.

However, she will alert bark and will make sure everybody is aware that her yard is not open territory to all. She caught a squirrel and will obsess over any rabbit that enters the yard.

BooBoo has no storm or fireworks anxiety. She is a joy to foster and is everyone's idea of the "perfect Golden." BooBoo is just a happy joyous dog who will win your heart very quickly.

BooBoo does have a physical condition called "hip displaysia." Her hip bones do not fit properly in her hip sockets. She is doing well right now, and we are watching her weight, doing lots of walks, and providing supplements.

Boo will need extra attention to her physical well being her entire life.dShe needs to stay at a lean weight. Supplements and pain medication will be part of the expenses to expect if you adopt BooBoo. Eventually she may need surgery. Right now she is leading the life of a regular dog.

She can go up and down one step without a problem. We are working  on training her to get in the car without being lifted by her people. That is coming along well, but still a work in progress. She can play with dogs, but not wrestle or rough play.
