This lucky young wanderer from Bursa, Turkey has found his furever family. He has a mom and dad to shower him with love and attention. Their adult children have a couple of Golden Retrievers that he will get to play with frequently.
To go along with this new chapter in his life, he will be called Blue, in honor of his adoptive family's last Golden that was lost too young to cancer.

Will is about one year old and embodies the joy and playfulness found in young Goldens. He is always ready to play with whoever is ready, willing, and able—human or canine.
Will was found wandering the streets in Bursa and brought to the local shelter. Rescuers found him there and got him out so that he could begin a new life in Minnesota.
Will has light blonde fur and he is starting to grow his feathers. He only weighs 44 pounds and needs to gain some weight.
At his foster home, Will is enjoying playing with the other dogs, chasing after a thrown tennis ball or Kong, and chewing on Nylabones. He likes naps on the couch or on a dog bed.
He is working on housetraining and doing very well with a schedule. We are working on teaching him to nudge or paw at a hanging bell by the door whenever he goes outside. We hope he will learn to ring it to tell us when he needs to go outside.
At nighttime, he sleeps quietly in a wire crate next to his foster mom's bed. He also is crated when foster parents aren't home.
Will walks well using an Easy Walk harness. He is curious about the many new things that he sees and smells, so he weaves from side to side, but he doesn't pull very hard and is easy to redirect.
On his first day in Minnesota, we went to a garden center. He loved all the petting that he received, but he was a tad bit afraid of a cat statue. Once he realized it wouldn't hiss at or claw at him, he was fine.
Will is doing great with learning new words. He's mastered "sit" and is working on "down." He loves treats, which helps with his training. It was easier to teach him some English words than to teach foster mom some Turkish words!
Will would enjoy an active family that will take him hiking and exploring, maybe teach him Nose Work® or agility. He's young and very playful. He is sweet and gentle. He loves to cuddle and he nudges you when he wants some ear scratches and belly rubs.
