Hi there, and thanks for checking out my bio. My name is Monte’ and I was saved from an unfortunate situation by RAGOM. I am nine months old and ready to play!

My old life didn’t include a lot of socializing so I am learning what it’s like to meet new people, but mostly I love everyone including mature children. Right now I live and get along with my 9- and 11-year-old human boys.

I like to run with them, play fetch with them, but mostly I love scratches, hugs and kisses. I’m not aggressive and get along with similar aged dogs. When I lived with a senior dog, I had just a bit too much energy.

I’m hoping to find a home where I can stretch my legs in a fenced yard. I am very very active and still have many puppy moments.

My potty training gets better each day and I am learning all kinds of good behavior from my foster sister Lucy who is also a Golden Retriever. She has taught me how to go outside, wrestle, to be trusting, but mostly importantly she has taught be how to be loved. I can be quite shy, but am warming up and learning that humans can be good companions.

At night, I sleep in a kennel with no complaints. I learn commands quickly and if I must say so myself, I think I’m beautiful. When we take walks on my leash, other people tell me just how gorgeous I am.

I’m looking to find a furever home that has humans who are active and patient. I’m working on my puppy tendencies but am on the road to being a good boy. I’d like to think I am smart and that I catch on fast, and I hope to find my people soon! I hope you’ll consider learning more about me so that I can settle in to a home and have a wonderful Golden life!
