Whiskey found his forever home today. He is going to get so much love from his new family. They fell in love the second they met him, like most people did, including myself.

He truly is such a good boy. With the amount of happiness and joy he brings to a home, this family will be blessed for years to come.

Whiskey came to my home about 3 weeks ago now and he has adjusted so well and so quickly. He was groomed in the first couple of days, and the groomer said he was so well-behaved.

Whiskey is the sweetest boy you’ll meet! He loves to be around people at all times, and if you’re not petting him, he will make sure to nudge you and let you know he’s wanting some affection! He gives the best hugs and snuggles, and will sleep right next to you if you’ll let him!

While in my care, I have only seen him around a couple of dogs. He does bark at them initially, but then proceeds to ignore them beyond that. I noticed at the groomer's he preferred to be next to the gal working rather than playing with the other dogs.

I did let him have free roam for about 3 hours one evening, and he did great! However, the next day when I let him have free roam again, he got a little mischievous, and that’s when I learned of his love for chewing cardboard! Anytime I have cardboard boxes out, he is trying to get to them now!

For now, I have been blocking him off in my entryway if I don’t bring him to work with me. He does well there and never has had any accidents.

Though I have not seen this happen yet, It was mentioned upon arrival that he does guard toys, so Whiskey does need to go to a home with children ages 10 and up, as this behavior could come out if triggered in any way.

He walks very well on a leash, either right next to you or even a little behind. He is not a fan of snow in his paws and will limp on a paw if the snow gets to be too much.

Whiskey loves to play fetch, but only for a few throws and then will just lay down and keep the toy to himself! He also loves tug-of-war, but is quite the little cheater! He paws at your hands to get you to let go so he can win.

Like most dogs, he loves treats! He even has a few tricks up his sleeve! He knows to sit, lay down, and shake. He is so smart and learns things very quickly!

All in all, he is the sweetest, most loving boy! He would be the perfect family dog! Any home that takes him in will be blessed with so much love and happiness for years to come!
