It was love at first sight for the family that adopted Quinn. They promise to give him the best life has to offer in whatever time he has. They have decided to call him Kane which means “golden” in one language and “warrior” in another.

He will have a doggie sibling as well as three teenagers and mom and dad to love him up.

Quinn was surrendered to RAGOM when he was 14 weeks old by a breeder after a heart murmur was detected during vetting. After entering rescue, a veterinary cardiologist diagnosed Russell with a congenital heart defect, Sub Aortic Stenosis.  There is no treatment for this condition and life expectancy is often less than three years. An annual echo cardiogram will be a required part of his continued vetting.

Quinn is a typical, happy golden puppy with lots of energy. He caught on within a few weeks to house-training and sleeps nicely in his crate at night. He loves to be outside and often signals to be taken out even if he’s just gone so that he can run zoomies in the yard with his doggie foster sister. Chewing on mulch and digging in snow is also a favorite past-time.

Quinn has picked up on basic obedience training well but as with any puppy requires vigilance as he likes to pick up shoes or clothing items left within reach and still tends to jump up when he gets excited.
