Profile

Hellllloooooo Everyone,

My name is Bailey and I am about the cutest, sweetest, most lovable dog around. At first my foster mom couldn't understand why someone would want to give me up when I have spent my entire life (all 12 years) with the same family. But, you see, my surrendering owners' home situation was changing and I had to be given up. My first mom and teenage sister were very sad to see me go. I was a very well loved pupper!!!

Since coming to my RAGOM foster home, I have made a lot of progress. For the first couple of weeks I was skittish and didn't know what to expect. Well, heck, do you blame me? After spending 12 years with the same family, some strange lady (now known as foster mom) comes to my owners' home and off we go in her car to another home. At my new foster home, I met the four resident dogs with no problems. In fact, at first I didn't want anything to do with them. Then, my foster mom takes me right away to the vet to get me thoroughly checked over. The vet told foster mom that all my parts are there and running properly :) with no "tune-ups" needed, even if I am 12 years old. I weighed in at a whopping 52.6 pounds...foster mom keeps calling me a "little petite girl".

Foster mom gave me a few new nicknames since I have been in foster care. One of the other dogs in the household is named Bailey also, so foster mom has been calling me "B" or Bebop. I really am attached to foster mom...she is really the "bomb". I follow her EVERYWHERE and I always need to be able to see her when she is at home. I even head butt my way into rooms where foster mom is and the door is closed. I love curling up at her feet as she types away at the computer.

I am definitely kid tested. I lived with a 10 month old baby in my original home and my foster mom has a 3 year old that adores me. I have been quite the model as the 3 year old loves to dress me up in various outfits. I love the attention I get so I just remain laying down and enjoy the attention.

Foster mom is having a hard time trying to fatten me up a little. I am very petite and foster mom says that I am kinda on the skinny side. I sometimes am particular of what and when I eat, so I have been keeping foster mom on her toes. If only foster mom would give in to my pathetic looking eyes and feed me table scraps...I definitely won't turn down table scraps!!! Instead, foster mom has been experimenting with different types of food. I am mellowing in my old age because I am beginning to eat better for foster mom.

I am making it difficult for foster mom to take a good picture of me. I always turn away from the camera, so you won't be able to see how beautiful I really am. You will just have to enjoy the pictures as mom catches me! You can't tell it from the picture, but foster mom says I have the softest fur that she has ever felt on a golden retriever. What a great compliment. Do you see that cute little white spot on the top of my head? Well, I have one that matches that on the tip of my tail too!! Foster mom is always telling me how cute those two little white patches are on me.

Well....gotta run. It is time to go snuggle with foster mom before we go to bed. Check back soon for an update and more pictures!!

Slobbers and kisses,

"B"
