12/31/06: And....all the way from Western South Dakota, weighing in at a whopping 20 pounds, meet "BUSTER BROWN"!

Buster was one of 200+ dogs that were seized from a property in western SD. Luckily, our RAGOM angel in Rapid City called to see if we had a room at the Inn for him. Buster arrived at our house on 12/23 - just in time for Christmas! Buster is one scared little guy - especially of people, but makes great strides each and every day. He has a ways to go yet, however. He loves our dogs and wants to play, play, play. Buster has some scarring on his face and ears but, as much as he loves other dogs, I tend to believe the scars were not from fighting. I could be wrong. We have no idea how old Buster Brown is - I'm anxious to take him to the vet to get his opinion on age. Buster has pretty bad teeth - poor guy. Both of his canines are broken - I knew there had to be a reason that it took him FOREVER to eat - his mouth must hurt!!! Buster has a physical/shots appointment on Tuesday and a dental appointment on Wednesday. After that, he'll be fresh and fluffy and available to meet potential families. Buster's new family will have to have a lot of patience to help this boy become the companion he deserves to be. He's had a rough life so far.... He is the cutest little bugger though - I just want to hug the stuffins out of him - if he'd let me, which he doesn't, so I have to be patient! He does want to lay right by me though, so he's making progress.
