This is the most recent information available; however, it may change as we learn more about the dog.

We would like to introduce Hunter!   He is a beautiful Golden/Cocker Spaniel mix that weighs 40 lbs.   He's a mini-retriever and the perfect size for any family!   His cutest feature has to be his head tilt with his ears up when you talk to him or he's curious!   He's been with us for about 4 days now and we've had a great time getting to know him.

First of all, he is a great house guest!   He's fully house trained and will sit by the door to let you know he has to go outside.   He knows all the basic commands of sit, stay, lay down, and shake as he has been to obedience classes.   He will sleep through the night in his kennel and if you'd prefer him on the bed, I'm sure he won't complain!

His only minor medical maintenance will be wiping his eye on a daily basis as he has a clogged tear duct, so it just looks like his eye is watering.   Wiping it is just to keep the tear stain off and the area clean.   He also gets occasional hot spots which seem to be minimized by a certain shampoo and conditioner when bathing him along with grain free food.

Hunter was lovingly surrendered by his family and would love to join a new family for the Holidays.   He just turned 1 yr. old in October, so he does have some energy to burn.   A fenced in yard would be great for him to run in (he's fast!) or another active dog would be great for him to play with.   He'll still need daily exercise and play time with toys.   He can empty the toy box quicker than any foster I've seen plus carry 3 toys in his mouth to bring to you!

Hunter is a great, young boy that is going to be an amazing dog for a lucky family.   If you would like to know more about him or meet him, please let your placement advisor know!
