Let me introduce myself. My name is Izzy and I am a little squirt with cute curly hair on my back end. My papers say that I weigh almost 57 pounds, but foster mom does not believe that. She thinks that I weigh less than that. In another week or so she will take me to the good doctor to check on the infection in my ears and then we will find out what my real weight is. As soon as all of the infection is gone from my ears then I can be fixed, whatever that is. I didn't know that I was broken. Foster mom explained it to me that I will never again have to be a baby factory.
I am just the sweetest, but I am scared of a lot of things. I do not like loud noises. I really love to be petted and doted on, but if you come to me to do that I will run from you. I follow foster mom everywhere and when she sits down I am really close to her. If she is in the kitchen I am always right there by her. Usually if I am laying in the kitchen and she bends down to pet me I will let her do that, but if I am standing and she tries to pet me I will run. I want the pets really bad but still just not sure of that hand coming to me. When I first came I would not eat from a bowl and my food had to be put on the floor. Then I graduated to to food being able to be put on a paper plate, and now I will eat out of a bowl, so I am making progress. As foster mom calls it.....baby steps.
Foster mom and foster dad had company for a couple of days and I let the kindergartner sit with me, play with me, and love on me several times for a long time each time.
When I first came I was really frightened to go out the door to go outside and potty. I came in just fine, but going out scared me. Now I go out with the other puppers just fine. I like being outside and I just run and run and run. There use to be another foster here that was also scared like I am and I really liked running with her. But she was moved to a new foster home so she could continue on her journey to improve her progress. Now I run around with the resident dogs.
Foster mom keeps telling me that everything will be just fine and I will learn to know and love what the real Golden life is supposed to be. I can hardly wait.
