This is the most recent information available; however, it may change as we learn more about the dog.

Marley was returned to RAGOM because his family felt he had some issues they couldn't handle. He arrived here on Friday (August 19) afternoon. Apparently he was an excellent passenger on the drive to his foster home. He met the three resident boys and and visiting RAGOM alum with no issues at all. I do think he was a bit overwhelmed at first by the four strange big dogs. Once we went inside, he got to meet the two cats. He had never met a cat before....so it was done carefully, with him on leash....it too was a non-event.

He is crate trained. Because I have an extra dog this week, I've been feeding Marley in his crate. He has eaten well and we will be transitioning him to Fromm's over the next few days. He is also housebroken and didn't even try to mark when he first arrived. So far, no accidents....although he has been tethered to me when he's not crated, so he hasn't had much chance to do anything wrong. He slept in his crate last night and was quiet all night long...and the crate wasn't even in the bedroom.Marley has recently been groomed and he has a short, very soft coat. His personality so far reminds me more of a Poodle than a Golden or a Lab. He has a sharp Poodle-like bark which reminds me totally of a standard Poodle I know. He's also quite small, not more than 50 pounds, with a lighter bone structure than most Goldens or Labs.I'll learn more about him over the next few days. We have a lot to do before he's ready for adoption and we'll update again as we learn more.
