Max arrived on December 31, 2016. Happy New Year, Max! Max is an adorable PB Golden Retriever puppy and an absolute sweetheart. At 13 weeks, he weighs just over 14 lbs. Max was surrendered due to a skin condition, originally believed to be Ichthyosis. After seeing his primary vet and dermatology vet, his skin condition was diagnosed as a bacterial and fungal skin infection, not Ichthyosis. Since his treatment started, his skin feels so much better and improves each day. Max has a follow-up appointment with the dermatology veterinarian on January 18 .

Snuggling

Max has been a champ with potty training, despite the frigid temperatures. As soon as he goes out, he does his business. Don't be fooled, however. At this stage, we are well trained, not Max! It never ceases to amaze us how someone who just went potty outside can leave such a huge mess on the floor within minutes!

He is doing great on kennel training and sleeps through the night until 7:00am . He  loves to play with other dogs and loves nothing better than thinking he is one of the big dogs,  Cooper (aka Romeo, 13-157) and Trackr (14-306).

If you are interested in this sweet boy, please remember that puppies are a full-time job. My husband and I are very active and recently retired, and Max keeps us hopping! We need a nap!

Cuteness Overload!

More Max:

House trained...LOL, are you kidding me!

Great in his kennel as long as incentives are provided!

Does well on car rides.

Max would do well with children over 5.

Max will chew on anything he finds...socks, shoes, electrical cords, spatulas, purses, blankets, pillows, cell phones, computers, tables, couches, etc. In other words, puppy proofing your home is essential. A very large, thick tarp seems appropriate!

Very treat motivated

Loves our resident dogs, but the feeling isn't necessarily reciprocated.

Hanging with my foster bros.

Sharing a pillow with Trackr

This ridiculously good looking boy will need a furever home. He is very lovable and will be the perfect companion...after obedience classes, months of potty training, and a great deal of patience and love.
