Sandy 06-224 [1]

5/26/06: Sandy is a 6 month old, beautiful red Golden girl who weighs around 50 pounds. She made a really big trip from the middle of North Dakota to the Twin Cities yesterday and now she is settling in quite nicely. She gets along well with both of our dogs and is gentle with the cats. She does, however, wonder why our cats are so grouchy when she's just trying to say "hello!"? She also lived with kids in her previous home.

Sandy went to the vet this morning and was brought up to date on all her shots. We also had a rather large lump/bump on the back of her head examined. We don't know what it is yet, but the vet will be able to get a better look at it and do some x-rays when she is spayed next Thursday. Their best guess is that it was caused by some past trauma. It doesn't seem to bother Sandy in the least, but we will figure out if it is something that can/should be removed, or if it's just something that gives her a little more character.
