Sandy 06-224

Profile

5/26/06: Sandy is a 6 month old, beautiful red Golden girl who weighs around 50 pounds. She made a really big trip from the middle of North Dakota to the Twin Cities yesterday and now she is settling in quite nicely. She gets along well with both of our dogs and is gentle with the cats. She does, however, wonder why our cats are so grouchy when she's just trying to say "hello!"? She also lived with kids in her previous home.

Sandy went to the vet this morning and was brought up to date on all her shots. We also had a rather large lump/bump on the back of her head examined. We don't know what it is yet, but the vet will be able to get a better look at it and do some x-rays when she is spayed next Thursday. Their best guess is that it was caused by some past trauma. It doesn't seem to bother Sandy in the least, but we will figure out if it is something that can/should be removed, or if it's just something that gives her a little more character. Either way, Sandy is looking forward to interviewing for her forever family! Please contact placementatragom [dot] org if you are interested in meeting this little sweetheart.

Good Evening!

It is with heavy heart I finally write to you to let you know of Kacie's passing on January 12, 2015. It was expected yet unexpected for our family. She was not feeling well for a while. The vet figures she had cancer in her spleen and it began leaking into her abdomen. We made the decision to help over The Bridge. We were all there to wish her safe travels and to say "hi" to her Golden companion Rudy.

Kacie came to us via RAGOM when she was 6 months old. She was the best dog we could have asked for. She loved to swim and could play ball till she dropped. She had a faithful companion in Rudy and she happily became his eyes and ears and protector. After his passing, she was our faithful companion and protector. Last winter she became the teacher to a new puppy who she put up with and taught to swim and play fetch. He still misses her as do we!!

Thank you to RAGOM for letting her bring joy to our lives and making our days brighter. She may have left us but we will always carry her in our hearts.

Here are a few more pictures of everyone's favorite egghead! I've included a profile shot which shows the bump on her head. No time for a big update today, but Sandy continues to be a joy to foster.
