We are very excited to introduce you to Tucker – he’s a beautiful 5 ½ year old golden, tall and handsome with a dark gold coat and a tail that wags constantly. He has settled into our household routine quickly and has excellent manners. He comes and ‘talks’ to you when he needs to go outside, plays nicely with our younger dog and shows respect to our older dogs. We haven’t had a chance to see how he does with cats yet. We’ve been impressed with how well behaved he is although we’re going to have to work with him on his ‘counter surfing’ – he’s a tall boy with a good nose and loves food! He knows basic manners – sit, down, shake – and he has a great smile on top of all that. He has a very endearing habit of doing a happy dance when he realizes he’s about to get fed. And if the happy dance doesn’t charm you, he talks with a soft roo-roo-roo to let you know that he’s very excited about his food. After he eats, he loves to squirm on the floor, talking to himself all the while – he’s really very cute. We have him on a weight management diet right now so he can lose a few of his extra holiday pounds. Tucker has been to the vet where he was polite and passed with flying colors. Tucker has a seizure disorder which is easily controlled by medication twice daily. We’re going to see if his medications might qualify for special discount pricing at one of the drug store chains. He takes his pills readily when they’re hidden in a Pill Pocket or food. Tucker *loves* to go for walks – although he’s very excited initially, he calms down after a few blocks and walks nicely on his leash. I think one of his all time favorite things is going for a car ride – he’s excited to get in the car and I think he’d love to hang his head out the window but the weather is just too cold!

Tucker was returned to RAGOM and will do best in a house without small or very young children. He is a great companion dog and loves to be around people and other dogs. He likes to squeeze in time for a nice nap but also likes to check out the action in our fenced yard and follows us room to room to keep an eye on all that’s going on. He’s a real sweetie!
