Thank you so much for fostering Whitney. I am a volunteer at the GVHS and worked closely with the Pine River Dogs. I'm so happy to see that Whitney is coming out of her shell and actually has a happy home with your family. Hopefully soon she will find her forever home....but until then thank you so much for loving her! From Mary Jo M.

Please welcome the gorgeous girl Whitney 13-317 to the RAGOM family. She is a 3-year-old Golden Retriever and weighs 62 pounds. Whitney was rescued from a puppy mill in Pine River by the Animal Humane Society (AHS) on July 16, 2013, as part of a group of 133 dogs. The court case was recently decided and the AHS was awarded custody of these dogs, along with the 80 puppies born to the pregnant females.
Whitney has been in RAGOM foster care since September 22. She has now become part of the RAGOM family so we can continue to provide much needed socialization and love and find her a forever home.
In the four weeks in foster care, Whitney is slowly coming out of her shell, making the transition from a caterpillar to a butterfly. She is very shy of people, but is learning that good things do come from nice people. Each week she is making progress, learning new things and showing more trust.

Whitney is up-to-date on all vaccinations and heartworm negative. She currently has a urinary tract infection and yeast infection in one ear, and we are working to get those resolved. She will be spayed on Monday, October 28.
Since she is so very shy, she will require the following in her forever home:
- Physical Fence.
- Another medium or large, confident dog with playful and easy-going tempermant.
- No kids under 10.
- A person or family that will be incredibly patient and understanding of her history and will work with her to trust people and help her reach her full potential.
Whitney will be at the Chuck and Don's Meet and Greet in Shakopee on Saturday, October 26, from 1:00-3:00pm.
