Harley 08-195

Profile

Hello everyone out there in RAGOM land, my name is Harley! I am a purebred, very red, semi-curly Golden boy. Since arriving today at my foster home, I have proven to be quite the gentleman. I have only pottied outside (I did water the flowers a little, but who can blame a guy!). I met the other two dogs here like a pro, as well as the cats, and I have snuggled my way onto the sofa with my foster mom. As of today I am UTD on my shots and let me tell you, it was not one of the best things that happened today. I keep hearing my foster mom talk about having to go to the vet to be neutered. I don't know what this means, but somehow I don't think that's going to be a very good day either :( I have attached some pictures of me for you to see - wouldn't you love a red headed curly 6 or so year old fella to share the sofa with you? If so, please contact placement and you can meet me - how great would that be?!

Hi .. this is Harley/08-195 and Bonkers/10-217 .... we just wanted to say that we are happy living together in Iowa. We are "copying" each other in every way! When one gets petted, the other one is right there and "needs" to get petted too. I, Bonkers, just LOVE to get in the car first ... then we, Harley and I, fight over who gets where first. Mom and Dad call me Mrs. Crewitz because I just HAVE to sit in the middle and observe everything that goes on outside. I have taken over the console and rest my head on it. When Harley sees HIS chance, he gets me out of the way and gets HIS place in the middle, it was HIS place first! ..... then I am content to "rest my head on Harley" and he lets me do that!

I have also taken over Amber's chair in my human sister's room .... NOBODY has sat on that chair until I came! That's why Mom and Dad believe I am a mix since they never had a pure Golden Retriever that sat on this chair since they do not know how to curl up!!!

We got some new toys for Christmas from our human brother ... they are long skunks, of all things!! ... BUT Harley is carrying them around since they squeak!! I cannot touch them ... they are his and his alone! ..... In one word .. we both are happy and that's what is it all about! Right? ....... Love, Harley and Bonkers

Hi ... that's me, Harley 08-195.  I have it figured out ... while Riley/07-320 sleeps in the kitchen on the cool floor .... I sleep in the bathroom right under the air conditioning vent!  Pretty smart, don't you agree?  It's HOT here in Iowa, but I'm staying cool.  I don't like the water, so don't suggest that I should swim!  I like the snow better than the heat.  .... Stay cool -- Harley

Staying cool!

My husband bought a boat and Harley/08-195 got a life vest! Now we just have to see WHO wins! as Harley does not like water and has no intention to get into the boat and my husband is equally convinced that Harley will get into the boat and go fishing with him!

Riley/07-320 is an old lady and is our Energizer Rabbit ... she goes on and on and on! Of course, SHE is not expected to get into the boat and go fishing! Both Harley and Riley are one pair and though Harley is very pushy, she follows him everywhere! but whether it will be into the water and into the boat --- that is THE question! ... We sure love our dogs and would not have it any other way. Did I say, they both are SENIORS? rdr, jdr, Riley and Harley

From Harley's forever family...

SENIORS! .... Riley/07-320 and Harley/08-195 in Bellingham WA!

Riley is going on 16 but is full of life and has surprised even our Dr. R. with her "attitudes". Twice we thought we had to help her cross the Rainbow Bridge, twice she "shaped" up and lives on happily forever! She is deaf and needs to have "ears" to follow. That is why we got Harley last year after helping Dorus, the Dutch speaking RAGOM dog and also a Senior, cross the Rainbow Bridge.

Riley and Harley are GOOD travelers going from Vermont to WA State at least twice a year. This year we also went to a lake in Minnesota .... no way are those two dogs getting into the boat or swim in the lake! Aren't Goldens supposed to LOVE to swim?

Also, last week we met a volunteer in Albert Lea MN ... she said her husband has two Goldens that are hunting dogs! Our Harley would be a very POOR hunting dog .... he HATES loud noises and would be gone forever if he saw a gun or heard a shot fired! .... So, please adopt SENIORS ... our five RAGOM dogs all have been seniors and we LOVE it!

From Harley's forever family...

These are Riley/07-320 and Harley/08-195 ... our 3rd and 5th RAGOM dogs! And what a pair they are! Harley is the "boss" and Riley follows his "rules" and they compliment each other. Though Harley does not know that he is really her "ears" because she is deaf. Riley is already a therapy dog and Harley is waiting to be tested by PETPALs ... he whines and is "lost" when we take her to do her PETPAL visits! Before he can start his visits, he needs to be tested and pass!

We are thankful to RAGOM for letting us be the forever family to Max/02-286, Bailey/03-02-063, Riley, Dorus/07-314 and Harley! And those dogs deserve to lead happy lives until they cross the Rainbow Bridge with our help.
