Hi, I'm Huey--as in Baby Huey and when you meet me you will see why! I am one big fella! Everyone says for such a big young guy I'm sweet as can be. I'm a Golden Retriever/Mastiff mix and I'm about 1 year old. I weighed in at 95 pounds at the vet last week and I'm not overweight! I love to play fetch and if there is another dog in the run next door I like to run the fence with them. Oh--I forgot to tell you. I'm in boarding because RAGOM doesn't have a foster for me yet. I was wandering around lost and got picked up and taken to a shelter. Then RAGOM found me. Now I'm just waiting for a foster to have room for me. Many nice RAGOM volunteers have come to visit me and take me outside to run and play but so far no one has taken me home.

I like other dogs and kids. I don't know if I like cats since I haven't met any. Ever want to try skijoring? You know--where you ski and the dog pulls? I'm definitely your guy! I am very strong but I am figuring out the Gentle Leader--even though I HATE it! They have to get me the extra, extra large version. But I know I could really enjoy skijoring. I really love the snow. Check out my pictures. Aren't I adorable? Come on RAGOM fosters! Come fetch me!

Hi!

It's me, Baby Huey again! I met the nicest people today. The "H" family came all the way from Iowa to meet me. It was love at first sight! We spent a lot of time snuggling on the couch and then we went outside to play. I ran after Emma and Cody while they were sledding down my foster parent's hill and we had a blast. Then we all agreed that they were the perfect forever family for me! I'm so happy that my new family has kids!

I almost forgot to tell you something important! My new name will be Remmie (short for Remington). That name suits me just fine!

Thank you RAGOM for rescuing me and giving me a new life!

Love, Remmie aka Baby Huey

Snuggle time with the Baby!

Monday, January 7, 2008

Hi everyone! It's me- Baby Huey!

I am all healed up from my neuter surgery last week. Mom said I had my "crown jewels" removed. I'm really not interested in wearing jewelry (since I am a boy) so I don't care what they did with my jewels. All I care about is that I finally got that crazy cone off of my head! Foster mom said I was like a "bull in a china shop" when I walked around. I also got to play off leash in the fenced yard. It was fun! Foster fur sister Katie chased me and played peak-a-boo around a tree. Boy does she run fast!

On Saturday I made new friends at PetSmart. I sure loved all the attention! Kids were gathered around me and petting me; moms and dads wanted to adopt me. I've never been so popular in my whole life. I also got a new toy!

My foster family is getting to know me better. They said I am a very good boy because I haven¹t had any accidents at all since I came to live with them. Foster mom said I am housebroken. Does that mean I walk around the house and break things? I guess not, because she smiled when she said that.

It was really warm out yesterday so foster mom took me for a walk around the neighborhood. She said I heeled very nicely with my Gentle Leader on. She also said I am a very smart boy. I even sat down when she stopped to talk to people! She said I am very polite.

I almost forgot to tell you that I am sleeping on a comfy dog bed every night in my foster parent's bedroom. What a good life! I hope my forever family has a nice dog bed for me too!

Speaking of forever families, I sure hope I find one soon! It should be someone who likes friendly big dogs like me! Foster mom told me there is a special family out there who will think I am the perfect dog for them! She said I will know when I meet them because it will be love at first sight!

Well, it is bedtime now. Good night!

Love, Baby Huey

P.S. I get to meet two cats on Wednesday night. I hope they don't try to scratch me when I am sniffing them and say "hello nice kitties!"

Hmmm... I wonder if this will fit through the door?

Do you think I look like a bull in a china shop?
