Hi Gillmore fans, Gillmore here,
FD says I should get my side of my story out there, so I have to tell it.
Things are much brighter than they were a few weeks ago when I was at the shelter/vet clinic. I had all but a couple very small cysts removed. The one on my right rear leg had been bothering for quite some time. They are all healed up very good now. I had started to lick them as they were healing and getting itchy. FD got a clear plastic cone for my head so I couldn't lick them. I wasn't fond of the cone but didn't try to get it off.
I got to go see Dr Sarah on Wednesday to get the staples and a couple stitches removed. Dr Sarah was impressed with how much better everything and I looked from the visit 2 weeks previous. She said my fur looked so much better and the few pounds, I put on, really helped. I still need another 5 lbs or more to get to my ideal weight. Dr Sarah also said my muscle tone had improved from all the long walks and good food. FD walks me and foster sisters over 3 miles a day. Some days we go twice!!
FD keeps working with me on "sit" and "lay down". He says I'm getting better at both and coming when called. He even let me out a couple times without the leash. I came back as soon as I finished my business. FD gives me lots of praise, pets and treats when I do good things. I continue to get along great with foster sisters, all the kitties and any dogs I have met. I do want to chase squirrels and birds. I haven't had any potty accidents in the house at all. No counter surfing or inappropriate chewing either.
FD just reminded me to thank the caring people at the vet clinic up north and RAGOM for saving my life. I will be forever grateful. Please spread the word and help save more dogs like me.
FD says that I would be a great addition to any home. Speaking of which, I have a family coming to visit me on Sunday. Maybe they will be my furever family?
FD got some more pics of me also.
