Hi everyone! My name is Bentley. I am one and half years old and I'm a Goldendoodle/German Pointer mix. I came to RAGOM because my family had to move and couldn't take me with them. I'm a great dog, so I'm sure I'll find a new forever home in no time! The first thing you should know about me is that I'm very smart! I already know basic obedience and I LOVE to learn new things. I think I would be a great dog for agility or flyball, basically any activity that gets me moving and thinking!
Speaking of activities, I love to be active and outside year round. If you are an active family, I want to come along no matter what or where! Running, swimming and playing with other dogs are some of my favorite activities. I need a nice jog or game of fetch in the yard everyday, otherwise I get bored. With the proper exercise I'm a big couch potato in the house. I walk nicely on the gentle leader and my foster mom says that I'm a great jogging partner.
My other favorite thing is eating! I like my dog food, but I love some people food. Cucumbers are my favorite, followed by bread and fish. If you like to cook, I can help with the clean up!
As you can see from my picture, I am very handsome. I have long wiry hair with a short undercoat of fur. Because of my hair, I stay pretty clean since nothing sticks to me! A nice brushing once a week takes care of most of my shedding and if I do get really dirty, I sit nicely in the tub or at the groomers. I am completely house trained, neutered and up to date on all my shots. I am crate trained, but most of the time I get free roam of the house when the foster parents have to go out.
Here are a few of my stats:
Gender: male
Size: 65lbs
Color: black with white and brown
Personality: friendly, inquisitive
Activity Level: medium/high
Grooming: easy
Sleep at night: on my dog bed or in my favorite chair (see picture)
Likes kids: yes (especially if they want to play)
Likes cats: yes
Fun fact: I like to sing/talk and will serenade you if I want something
If you think I'd fit well with your family, or if you have any questions for my foster parents, please contact your placement adviser!
