It is my pleasure to introduce the most adorable pup ever—Brandi! She is a happy, exuberant, playful, 7-week-old (DOB: 1/18/2017) Golden mix puppy. Her mom is a smaller Golden mix—around 50 lbs, and her  dad is the best the neighborhood had to offer. (The surrendering owner said there are lots of Labs running around!) She came to RAGOM from rural North Dakota with her 3 siblings. She has her vet and spay appointments in a few days, and then she’ll be ready for her forever family!

Brandi is often the one initiating play and encouraging her sisters to get rowdy. And she is the last one to wind down when it is nap time! She is very physical and will probably do best in an active home where there are lots of walks, nature hikes, and outings to see new places and people. And I see puppy obedience and manners classes in her future!!! :-) She is a honey, and she will make you smile every day at her antics!

I’ll let you know more about Brandi as I get to know her!

Yaaaaaay--Brandi was adopted by a WONDERFUL family! They are thrilled, and their little Corgi Archer is so happy he has a new sister! Please join me in wishing them the very, very best!

Here is a picture of the family. Brandi is the one with the purple collar giving her new mom kisses.

Brandi has been doing great. It’s been weeks since there have been any potty accidents; she sleeps through the night; and she loves going for walks, especially the off-leash ones where she can run and explore. She is a little sweetie.

Here are some pictures of her—she is getting so big!

Hi, everybody—it’s me, Brandi!!! Boy, you should see how big I’m getting. When I run, I am like a rocket I go so fast! I love playing outside, and I found a dead frog the other day and wanted to eat, it but my mom wouldn’t let me. Hey, guess what? I’ve been going for walks on a leash, and you should see how well I do. My mom thinks I am so smart because I don’t pull like my sister (you know who). We’ve been going to all kinds of fun places to walk-- on sidewalks, trails, walking paths—she is getting us ready for our new homes!

And do you know what else? I sleep through the whole night now! My mom calls me and Carlie, and we go right into the crate and she gives us a yummy cookie. Sometimes if she gets up, she’ll get us up too for a midnight potty break, but a lot of nights, me and Carlie are so sacked out we just sleep and sleep-- can you believe I can hold it so well?

I learned my puppy commands before Carlie, and sometimes when we are practicing, I have to help her out. I always know how to sit and shake, but sometimes she doesn’t want to do the shake part, so I show her how to do it. If she still doesn’t do it, I’ll show her with both of my paws—it’s so easy, and I get so excited!

Foster Mom here: Brandi has really matured these past two weeks. She has been a dream with potty training. There haven’t been any accidents--but I do watch her like a hawk. She is good about whining if she has to go too. The pups are in synch with the adult resident dogs as far as our daily rhythm. I think taking them on outings/walks has really helped--they are so stimulated and getting lots of exercise, so when they get back home, they are pooped!

We were outside yesterday hanging out, and she went over to the water bowl and put both paws in and started digging--there was water everywhere. She LOVES anything that has to do with water.

Brandi is spunky, fun, smart, lovey, and devoted.. If she sounds like a good fit for your family—let the Application Team know!

Brandi here!! My Foster Mom thinks I'm adorable--but even more than that, I am a girl of action! I'm snuggly and loves kisses, but I REALLY like exploring, wrestling, playing, zoomies, and I just found out I like digging. My mom thinks I'm pretty smart,  I'm learning how to “sit” for a treat, and “wait” to eat my dinner. We are doing so good with potty training too. Sometimes I pretend that I don't hear her when she calls for me--there's just so much to smell and see!

I'm waiting for my very own family, one who likes to keep busy and do lots of stuff with me!  I'd LOVE to go to doggy daycare and make new friends! See how cute I am? I'm ready for my very own family!

On our way out for a potty break! I'm the one in the middle.

I’ve got places to go and people to meet…

Lots has happened for little Brandi this past week: She found a dead mouse carcass which was really fun, she experienced her first snowfall, she had her first vet visit, and she was spayed. She was super comfortable meeting everyone at the vet office. She is now up to date with her vaccinations, and she is being treated for roundworm. She is on the mend from her spay and is healthy and strong. And last but not least--she's cute as a button!

When Brandi first got here, she was Miss Life-of-the-Party, always getting the other pups cranked up. The other day we had the most amazing experience: I was petting her tummy and when she looked up at me I told her she is precious. I swear she understood what I was saying, and after that, she's been so calm and tuned into me. She still loves her fun, but she has quieted down and is so much more settled. She's an absolute doll!

Brandi is a love, and she is so looking forward to meeting her new family!
