Brenna 08-216

Profile

Welcome to RAGOM Brenna, your breeding days are over. We are excited to welcome this sweet senior gal as our first foster. She is almost perfection. She will be perfect after her spay surgery next month.

Brenna is adapting to the golden dog life with our RAGOM resident dog, Meg.

Look at her sweet, distinguished kissable face and get lost in her deep dark eyes. So, let me explain “perfect” for you. Brenna does not bark, counter surf, itch, nibble, scratch, guard, beg, jump on furniture or people or have any inappropriate behavior.  Did I say she is perfect? Well, actually, she would have a hard time counter surfing, because she is very short, (we like to say compact) all muscle and only 61 lbs. She had a professional bath Thursday and her soft luxurious dark red coat is perfect for cuddling and massaging. She is accustomed to the pampering now and has asked me to mention that it would be nice to have her forever family continue it.

Brenna won’t be ready for her forever home until the middle of May.

Mention you are interested in Brenna at your home visit or email placementatragom [dot] org. You will fall in love with this special golden girl.

Updates

Monday, May 19, 2008

Hi everyone.  This is my last update.  My forever family found me and they are more special than I could ever hope for.  One last kiss from Meg before I go.

I have a new brother, Farley and a big quiet yard to play in.  When we saw the rainbow last nite, my new mom and dad said Lily was smiling at us from the Rainbow Bridge and she was welcoming me to her family.  Thanks, Lily and my new S family.  Here we are.

BB (Beautiful Brenna) has blossomed into a happy, fun, crazy lady. She will be  getting her spay stitches out in a couple days and we'll get another update on  her weight.

She doesn't eat much because of her self-imposed weight reduction plan. Wish I  could say the same for me. She is chasing the tennis ball if its not soggy  outside. Just watching her run around the yard tires me out. I think she's  getting ready for swim suit season.

I don't have to hide her antibiotics anymore. She lets me just give them to her  and her ears are completely cleared up, but we need to continue the meds till  Friday.

She is so comfortable here that she wakes me in the morining with two paws up on the bed and  lots of kisses. We still don't know what she sounds like. She hasn't barked or growled once since she's been with us.

She is definitely a people dog.&nb sp; Still a little shy, but she quickly overcomes that and expects adoration.  She's been a joy to foster and it will be very difficult to let her go. We have  a family coming to see her this week. Stay tuned.

Thanks for catching up with BB.

Here I am praying that my forever family finds me soon

I know I'm short, but look at my high-lights

Ahh Sun, Glorious sun.  How can you resist me in this light?

Hi, Beautiful Brenna here (that's what FD & FM call me).  WOW, This new life is strange and wonderful.  I'm out of sorts today cause I got spayed yesterday.  Now I can go outside to poddy with Meg and not be on a leash.  My tummy hurts a little, but I'm okay. So, I won't be out chasing the ball for a few days.  I'll just play with my dino and koala inside my house. I am in excellent health and the surgery was a slam dunk. The doctor pulled a big yucky plug out of my ear when I was sleeping so I can't get away with using that "selective hearing" excuse anymore when I don't want to listen. I'm learning sit and lie down. That's important for my new family to know. I'm sure that will impress them. I'll be ready for my forever home in a couple weeks.

I'm getting used to the kitchen floor. It's still a little scary. But if Meg can go on it, then so can I. It's gonna take some time before I try the basement steps, though. They are carpeted, but I don't like them yet.  Mom's not happy that I'm on a self-imposed diet. She tries to hide my medications in everything she can think of, but I smell those pills and don't want to eat. The meatballs don't even fool me anymore. I'm waiting for the good stuff, like steak. I bet she'll try that soon. I've got them wrapped around my paw. But shhhhhhh, don't tell them that.

Here is what I'll need in my forever home:

  1. Fenced yard to play in and throw ball for me to chase and you to retrieve.
  2. Another dog in your family cause I've lived with dogs all my life and need a fur brother or sister to teach me stuff that I missed growing up.
  3. Lots of kisses and massages.
  4. Understanding that I'm kinda shy yet, but I'm a work in progress and I'm really quiet. FM doesn't even know what I sound like yet.
  5. Maybe you can have a cat. I'm not sure. I saw a squirrel and rabbit on my walk, but didn't try to catch them.  I'll get back to you on that one.

If you have all of the above, I want to meet you. We can connect if you contact placementatragom [dot] org

Thanks for reading about me......BB

Waiting for MY forever family.  That's me in the red scarf.

My mom has no fashion sense.
She says if I wear this I won't bother my surgery stitches,
but I think it makes me look funny.

I'm almost ready for my family.  FM & FD want to adopt me but then they won't be able to help other dogs, so I'm ready if you are.  Contact placementatragom [dot] org and see just how special I really am......BB  And you need to know that I haven't had ANY accidents in the house, ever....Yea!!!
