I have not been able to bring myself to write this email, but am sad to say that my buddy of nearly nine years crossed the rainbow bridge on Tuesday, August 15th. Bud (08-553) lived such a fun and happy life. He began to lose use of his back legs and was on quite a few meds for seizures and his diminishing use of hind legs. I monitored him very closely as I did not want him to be in any pain. He woke up on Tuesday, Aug. 15th and did not have any interest in eating or drinking (even delicious homemade sloppy joes). Bud and I went for 4-5 walks per day but he was not interested in a walk either. He was telling me that it was time and I promised him that I would listen. I helped him cross the rainbow bridge that evening. He spent his last days with extended family at the cabin.
Bud lived a full and happy life…he was my buddy and was always at my side. My house feels very empty but my tears of sadness also include tears of joy because of the nine years of great memories we had together. Thank you RAGOM for bringing Bud in to my life…he is gone but never forgotten! |
