Charles left today for his furever home where he will be loved and spoiled with love and kisses. He gave his new family quite a show of how loving he can be. He also made sure to show them how rough he could play with our resident dogs and just how fast he could zoom and fly. He was even clever enough to hide while playing chase - in the leafless branches of a see-through bush! We said good by with tears of joy and know our boy will have a wonderful Golden-Lab life!

Charles had a long walk in the snow this morning, curious about the big flakes and the wetness of it all. The howling wind tuckered him out so now he's snuggling, warm and cozy with our resident 4 legger, Cala.

I’m an early bird so Charles gets a nice morning walk before the sun comes up. We did this together with his brother Harry for many weeks and they had a blast frolicking together. But when Harry left, these walks became my quality time with Charles. He sniffs, romps, plays, poops and wags his tail the entire walk. He stays close by my side but doesn’t leave me if I drop the leash.

Charles is having a BLAST with the DRY freshly fallen leaves. WHAT FUN FOR A PUP!!

Charles is a gentle lover with a lot of puppy play left in him…he has plenty of both everyday. He’ll do well alone or with another dog (he lives with two others now and for many weeks there were four). He has been exposed to only the neighbor's cat and it was uneventful.

This puppy is a gem!

Charles is a warm hearted, playful PB Yellow Lab. He and his littermate have been with us since late August but his littermate, Harry, has already gone to his forever home. Through no fault of his own, Charles had an adoption-in-progress fall through due to a family matter with the family. We love having him stay longer but still needs his forever home.

Charles keeps busy playing gleefully with our two resident dogs. He plays “zoomies” in the back yard with our Flat Coated Retriever and he plays dig-for-the-moles with our older Golden. He’s happy to be playing with just about anyone and has LOTS of kisses to share. He is even happy to wake up resident dogs from peaceful naps. Charles believes he is a lap dog and plunks himself in your lap whether you are ready or not!

Charles does very well in the crate and is almost completely house trained. He is in the crate at night and during daytime hours when no one is home. His first stop out of the crate is the back door to relieve himself and he has started to go to the back door to tell us when he needs to go out. Even at 16 weeks, he has earned free roam of the family room, laundry room and kitchen, and does well with those boundaries. Two caveats there: 1) The baby gates have a lot to do with him going beyond those rooms and 2) Free roam does not coincide with unattended. He’s allowed out and takes many naps at my feet, but he always does “puppy things” like move shoes into the family room from the mud room, one by one. Luckily, there has been no chomping on my $150 running shoes!

Charles has been hanging out in White Bear Lake with littermate Harry. We have not done a swim test yet and these fellas get enough joy out of a going to the soccer fields to meet other people, meet other dogs, and find the long grass to ZOOM. Puppy zoomies are the best.

Charles is quiet and a good listener.

Charles and his littermate, Harry, are smart dogs.

Charles is available for adoption after 9/14 and is taking  applications.

This one's a gem!

Charles is a sweet, 12 week old purebred Yellow Lab that came into RAGOM with his litter mates. There were four puppies and we were blessed with caring for Charles and his brother Harry.

Charles is sweet, gentle and loving. He's playful at play time, then happy to nap in the sunshine.

Charles will be fixed on Tuesday 9/12 and will be available for adoption after that.
