Leonardo came into RAGOM's care with his mother (Lorna) and one brother. He was surrendered during a spay/neuter clinic at the Leech Lake Indian Reservation. 18 wood ticks were pulled from him in the first 12 hours in his foster home. Weighing in at 15.4 pounds, it was found that he had round worms and coccidia - both internal parasites. Once he got medication for those, he quickly gained a few pounds and stopped acting like was was starving. Now he is a happy, smart, playful puppy.
Leonardo was adopted as part of the trial "Foster to Adopt" initiative. His forever family couldn't be happier! Thanks so much to RAGOM and all those involved in his rescue. He is definitely a keeper!
