Hi everyone my name is Copper 17-022 and I am a handsome dark red sixty four pound Golden Retriever. I am now living in New Ulm, MN with my foster mom and dad and four other dogs. In one week I traveled from Iowa to South Dakota and then to Minnesota. I am an excellent traveler and enjoyed the car rides. My birthday is December 27, 2015, I am a young boy with lots of energy! The first six months of my life were not so great, I had to live in a basement. Then I moved to my next home and I had to live outside but did have a warm shop I could go in. My second mom gave me to RAGOM because she thought I was fearful of men. I really am not afraid of men and love to snuggle on my foster dad's lap. My third home for a short time was at boarding and some great people from RAGOM came to visit me until I could go to my foster. Now I'm in my fourth home and loving life! The first couple days were very interesting because the golden doodle didn't like me but he's being a lot nicer to me now. My best dog friend is Otis and we like to play!

When I was in South Dakota I went to the doctor and had all my shots. They put some weird stuff on me that they said was to keep the fleas away from me. They said I'm all ready to be adopted as soon as I am neutered on March 3rd. I am really excited to go to my forever home and promise unconditional love. My foster mom and dad said who ever adopts me will be very lucky to have me for their very own friend.

There's a few things you may want to know about me:

  • I will either need a fence or tie out.
  • I like kids, grownups and other dogs.
  • I may have too much energy for a toddler.
  • I would be happy either living with or without another dog.
  • I do not know about cats.
  • I love to go for walks but I need to have a little work on pulling.
  • I like to jump up on people but my foster mom and dad are working on that.
  • I don't mind sleeping in a kennel at night but don't like to be in a kennel in the day.
  • I am great at snuggling and love to be with my people.
  • I am very handsome with a dark red coat that is very soft.
  • I like to take a bath and get blow dried.

So as you can see I'm pretty much perfect! I just need people to love me and teach me how to be a great dog!

Hi everyone it's me Copper!

I have fabulous news! On Thursday a nice lady and her two children ages 9 and 15 came to my foster house to meet me. I really liked them and they loved me! They and my foster family talked about me and I didn't realize they came because they wanted to adopt me. On Friday the nice lady came back to see me again. The nice lady turned out to be my new Mommy! Yes, that's right I got adopted!!!!!

I am so lucky! I now have my forever home with my mommy, brother and sister. They bought me toys and treats and love me! A month ago I was not wanted and then RAGOM found me and now I have a GOLDEN life full of love!

Hi everyone it's me Copper!

I have been really busy since my last update. I went to the Vet hospital and was neutered. Before my surgery I got lots of attention and flirted with the Vet Tech! In the afternoon I went back to my foster home. I was a little tired but very happy to be home. My foster mom and dad told me what a wonderful boy I am and I don't have to go in a crate anymore if they have to be gone. I am so happy about this because I didn't like being in a crate all by myself. I love to be by my foster dog brothers!

I'm a very lucky boy to live in a house and be loved. I have a family who want to adopt me and I may soon have my very own forever home. I have my paws crossed that everything works out!
