Dublin loves to be outside with people and going on walks. He also loves to chase tennis balls, but don’t expect him to bring it back to you. A fence is recommended because Dublin has a lot of energy and loves to be outside.

Dublin is a sweet boy who loves being petted and hugged. If you don’t pet him, he will force you to pet him. He prefers to be with people, but is also learning to lay down and relax by himself. He will be cautious and let out a short bark when someone unknown to him is walking near, but has never been aggressive toward that person. He knows the sit command, but definitely needs some basic obedience training. He’s learning to walk on a leash, but has a ways to go as he still pulls and goes where the smells are.

Dublin has been exposed to a lot of city noises in the past week which are new to him, and reacts with curiosity instead of fear. Because he is so large and can be pretty rambunctious, being around smaller children may not be good. He will cuddle and sleep on the bed for a bit, but prefers sleeping on the floor.

I am a 2 ½ year old, 80 lb. purebred Golden, and am told I am very handsome and a sweetheart. I spent my life living in the country in a kennel most days, but I am adjusting to living in a house and the chaos of city life. My favorite activity is to play with kids and cuddle with them. I love little humans.

I have been described as a Velcro dog because I just want to be with my people and don’t like to spend much time alone. Sometimes I can be very pushy to get the petting I want. I get along with other dogs, and was raised with cats that I cuddled with. Because I like so much attention, it might be best if I am an only dog.
