Emily was a total pleasure to foster - one of the easiest to make a temporary home with us. But lucky little Emily has gone home to her fur-ever home. Best wishes to her and her adopter!

Here is a quick update on Emily. We have learned that Emily is fine with cats. After our first update on her, I was reminded that she had been with the office cat when she was boarded at a vet office before coming into RAGOM. Also, another volunteer foster for RAGOM dog-sat her for us when we were out-of-town for a couple of days. She had a cat, and Emily was just fine with her. It was interesting to us, also, to learn that Emily played long and vigorously with one of the dogs at this home. Here, we have a four year old female Golden who just loves to play, and has been trying so hard to get Emily to play with her. Sometimes it looks like they are going to take off running or wrestling, but it hasn’t lasted longer than a couple of seconds. The dog Emily played with at the sitters was a male. It is possible that made the difference, but we don’t know. The sitter had the cat and four dogs – five with Emily – and the visit went just fine. Emily gets along fine with both of our dogs, but hasn’t played with either of them.

Emily has an adopter who is interested in her, and who has now finished the approval process. We will be arranging a meeting soon, so “paws crossed” for Emily. We are hopeful that it will be a match for both of them.
