Hi there, I would like to reintroduce you to Finley affectionately known as “Finney”. Finney is now 16 months old. He has not yet been adopted thru no fault of his own.

Finney is about 3/4 Golden Retriever and a 1/4 Poodle from what I can tell. He has a curley coat on his body and some on his head and around his ears. He does not shed like a Golden. Very minimal but does shed some. Those with allergies or that do not want a lot of dog hair around would appreciate Finney. His coat is wirey but soft. Finney is great for baths tho he does not like them and is great for ear cleaning. You pretty much can do whatever you need to with Finney. Very cooperative.

His personality is very outgoing and very very athletic. He tends to be over exuberant at times and loves to retrieve things he shouldn’t. Your normal socks, shoes, etc. When he does retrieve those things he prances around very proudly! His tail is up in the air and he builds up his body because he is so proud of himself. He gives them up very easily tho. Very sweet and cute tho naughty! He loves to retrieve the normal stick, tennis ball.

Finney is very is very loving and loves to cuddle. He loves attention and returns the love to you! Gives kisses and has the typical Golden Retriever personality. Finney is still very much a puppy and will need consistent training. He needs work on a leash. Commands as sit, stay and down he can do but needs more work. Finney does need work on his recall but pretty much comes whenever he hears his name unless he is distracted by something else.

Finney is kennel trained. He is good in his kennel as my Husband and I both work during the day and has had no accidents. We do not let him free roam yet as like I said he will retrieve things he should not and chew whatever it is up. We do give him Nylabones so that tends to help satisfy his chewing needs somewhat. Like I said he still has an awful lot of puppy in him yet.

He is great with other dogs. We have our resident Goldens who he was brought up with. Playtime is a big thing at our house with the other dogs and Finney. Lots of noise but we enjoy it! It is like having a bunch of kids around! Finney is a fast eater and would benefit from a slow feeder bowl.

Besides Finney’s loving personality he is very smart and picks up things very quickly. If you feel Finney would fit in with your family and enjoy high energy, then he is your pup. Thank you for ready about Finney!

Hi there, I would like to introduce you to "Finley 16-180"! Finley is a 7 month old male Golden Retriever/Poodle mix puppy. More Golden Retriever than Poodle. He has the longer nose of a poodle and the curly/wavy coat. Finny as he is affectionately know as was born on June 7th, 2016. Finney was part of the Missouri Puppy Mill Auction and came into RAGOM very healthy and still is!

Finney weighs between 43 and 45 lbs. He is neutered and up to date on all of his shots. During the summer and fall months he was Frontlined monthly and also on a monthly heart worm medication. Finney did suffer from cellulitis in his boy area after the neutering but was put on antibiotics for 10 days and healed up fine. No after effects. Finney is potty trained and does very well being kenneled (He is crate trained) while you are at work for up to 8 or 9 hours and then he may have an accident. He doesn't always have an accident just on occasion. He is a very good boy! He is allowed free roam at night when we are home. He will bark if he really wants to be with you and he is kenneled. We have just learned to ignore him and he quiets down.

Finney loves to play of course as a 7 month old puppy! He is all boy and he will need training. He can sit but not for very long. Very loving boy! Finney has loads of energy and will be a very athletic dog. He gets along great with my two resident Goldens. He is still learning doggie manners from them. They correct him when he goes beyond what is appropriate behavior but he is still learning. He will once in awhile jump up on you when he gets very excited. It doesn't happen very often anymore. He loves to be brushed! Even tho he does have some poodle in his back round he doesshed. Sits still for ear cleaning. He does eat very quickly and could do with a slow feeder bowl. He gets rushed when he is receiving treats and will try to grab them from you but has gotten much better. Just learning things yet being he is a puppy!

He does like to retrieve things that he shouldn't. Typical shoes, socks basically anything he can get his mouth on. He loves tennis balls! He's coming around tho! Again typical puppy behavior so patience is required! He knows his name and will come when called unless he is really distracted so it may take a little longer. But he does eventually respond. Finney loves Nylabones and they satisfy his need for chewing. Finney would do well with another dog as he was brought up with my two goldens.

All in all Finney is a very sweet puppy! He loves to cuddle! Loves attention! He returns love two fold! He would do well with another dog as he was brought up with my two goldens so he has been socialized with other dogs.

If you think Finney would be a fit into your home, please contact your placement advisor.

Thank you for reading about Finney! If you feel you would like to contribute to RAGOM, please do so and it would be so much appreciated to help the pups out! Again, Thank you!
