We are so excited that Lexi, now known as George in honor of Harry Potter's George Weasley, has found her forever home.

George has a mom that loves her and promises to give her lots of love and patience as she adjusts to her new life. George also has two handsome fur-brothers, Wallace and Ollivander, to teach her and play with her.

We were blessed to be part of George's journey to her new home.

Happy Golden life, George!

Lexi is one of 13 dogs surrendered to RAGOM when her owner in Oklahoma realized he could not provide proper care to his dogs. Lexi arrived in Minnesota not feeling very well and she found comfort in her Oklahoma friend, Sadie 19-030.

Once in our home, Lexi quickly began taking cues from our resident dog, Corky. Because Lexi is new to living in a home, she needs another confident dog to learn from. Lexi is very playful and cuddly with our dogs, so she needs a dog sibling who doesn’t mind when she snuggles in for some cuddles or pounces for some playtime.

Lexi’s vet visit revealed she carried a very heavy dose of worms, but is otherwise healthy. Now that Lexi has been treated for worms, she is feeling much better and is eating well. The vet would like her to gain a few pounds before scheduling her spay.

Lexi is very sweet and gentle around humans. She’s been poked, prodded, bathed, and brushed without an issue.

She is learning that jumping on people for attention is bad manners, so for now, a home with children over age five would be best. She would not be a good candidate for condo or apartment living as she does bark some when she’s excited.

Lexi is taken outside on a regular basis and hasn’t had a single accident in the house. She quietly sleeps in a crate in our bedroom at night, and is crated in the kitchen when we’re not home.

We cannot believe the changes in this girl in the short time she has been in foster care. She is so happy and loves life in the snow!
