Guiness 07-546

Profile

Guiness is one of Patti’s four-week-old puppy mill pups that comes to us from Arkansas via Missouri. He’s the only boy in the litter of five and he is the largest of the litter. When all the puppies are sleeping you’ll see a pile of four together while Guiness is off sleeping in the corner, alone. While eating if his food source doesn’t deliver fast enough he’ll just move one of his sisters out of the way and take another. He’s the boss of the litter.

We recently lost or RAGOM golden Guiness to cancer. We adopted him in October of 2007 as a pup. He was part of a litter and mom that came from Arkansas and he was a true southern gentleman.

Our hearts are broken and we hope to someday find a new golden to fill the void in our home.

From Guiness' forever family...

Here are pictures of Guinness! Guinness, his mom and sisters were rescued from an Arkansas puppy mill. We are so lucky to have this wonderful mellow dude in our lives.

Guiness is the only boy in the litter and he’s confident and self-assured. But every day he displays a little of his soft side that impresses us. When Erin was so sick, her sisters would pick on her. But who came over and snuggled with her? Guiness. You expect sweet little Keri to give you a good puppy snuggle but who else will settle into your arms and give a little kiss? Guiness. In his forever home he will have Carolina, Cory and their three children. We think that he will make an excellent addition to their household.

Guiness still prefers to sleep apart from the crowd (see his latest picture – he’s stuffed himself between the tub and the sink cabinet). He was the king of the litter until recently. Shannon has decided that she doesn’t need to take any kind of direction from Guiness. If he starts something she knocks him over and gives him a little bite near the ear just to let him know that he isn’t the boss of everybody. While he does not have any symptoms of the upper respiratory infection that some of the dogs from this Arkansas puppy mill have, we will be treating him for it. A couple of his littermates have the problem so it is wise to be sure that he is treated, also.
