Holly went to her forever home this afternoon, and I am so happy for her. She will have a couple of dog siblings to continue teaching her how to be a normal dog and a spacious fenced-in back yard to explore.

Holly has made great progress over the last few weeks: learning to go through door ways, play with toys, and that human touch can be a pleasant experience. Watching Holly actually walk out the door with her new family and wag her tail is so rewarding.

Thank you RAGOM for the rescue work you do!

We would love to introduce Holly and welcome her to the RAGOM family! She is a 5-year old purebred Golden that came from a commercial breeding facility a couple of months ago.

Holly has been to the vet and has no known medical issues. She weighs about 45 pounds, so she is a more petite girl. She is up to date on all her vaccinations and was recently spayed. This means Holly's ready to start the search for her forever home.

Due to Holly's background prior to becoming a RAGOM dog, she is quite shy. Many dogs that come from a commercial breeding environment, including Holly, will need a forever home willing to provide lots of patience. This will help her as she begins to feel more confident.

To aid in this process, it is a requirement that Holly have a similar-sized dog that has a lot of confidence to serve as a teacher. Many times, dogs look to other dogs to show them the way, and this will be especially important for Holly. Holly looks to her foster brother for guidance and tends to feel more comfortable trying new things when she sees him doing something.

In addition, whether or not her forever home has a fence, Holly would do best to be on a long tie-out as she explores outside areas. This will allow her to stay safe and feel comfortable as she begins to trust the routine of the household.

Holly is a very sweet and gentle dog and is slowly working to feel more comfortable around her humans. With some patience in a forever home, Holly will make a loyal, loving dog for years to come.

Since coming in our home, she has found her favorite spot under a maple tree, where she enjoys watching the birds and soaking in the sun!! In addition, she is gaining confidence and enjoys our daily walks. We think she's had some training along the way as she walks beautifully on a leash.

We continue to be amazed at Holly's gentle demeanor. If you think you might be the perfect family for Holly, please submit an Inquiry for Application form.
