Jordan 05-402

Profile

12/6/05: Jordan is a big, blonde 3 year old monster of love. He looks like a purebred Golden, but since he was originally a "free-to-a-good-home" dog from a newspaper ad in northern Minnesota, it's hard to know for sure. He was adopted by a family in the metro area who had him for about a year and a half, and surrendered him because their house was not big enough for two Goldens and two kids. Jordan is a real sweetheart with the biggest, round, brown eyes you could imagine. He's a bit overweight at about 90 lbs., but considering that he was emaciated when he was found, well, it's all about finding a balance, isn't it? Jordan gets along fine with the resident Goldens here (and he lived with another Golden and a two year old before being surrendered). He is a bit of a chowhound and, like most Goldens, can be a bit demanding for attention, so he should probably go to a home with adults and/or older children because of his size. He spends most of the day lying by my feet in the office, and he sleeps by the side of the bed. Wouldn't be make a nice Christmas present?

Jordan went over the rainbow bridge 8-14-12 after a short illness. He lived the golden life he deserved. He had lots of love and freedom and many doggy friends. And according to the vet maybe too many treats J

He is sadly missed by his humans, Mike and Gina.

Jordan adjusted well coming back to his foster home after his adventure at the dog-sitting spa. He was microchipped and his ears are clearing up, and he's ready to go. He's kind of a gentle giant, weighing in at 97 pounds--ten of which he could probably lose. He's such a happy boy, and loves to demonstrate it whenever you come home. He grabs the nearest toy and does "the dance" complete with vocals. He's quite calm generally, although he will speak up if the other dogs get too unruly, or if they are getting the attention he feels should be coming his way. He has handled visiting dogs very well, gets along great with the resident Goldens, and has a great time at the dog park.

This morning, we had a reunion with our last foster and his mom, and a pal and her two RAGOM dogs, so it was a Golden Retriever festival at the airport park. Jordan loved all of it! Everyone he met remarked on how handsome he is, and we FINALLY got the pics to prove it. He sticks right near me, sleeps at my feet when I am working at the computer, and is learning that the kitchen is off limits. He has done fine with the cat in the house, although he is curious about him - but George has made it clear that he's the boss. Jordan lived with a two year old previously and did fine with him. He's ready to find a permanent place to hang his leash (which he walks on very nicely!). He'd look great under someone's Christmas tree!
