Josie is a four month old cream colored Golden retriever. She came to RAGOM from a commercial breeder when she was eight weeks old. It has taken awhile to get her healthy and ready for adoption. She is fostered in Sioux Falls SD with her sister, Katie. Together these pups have doubled in size and weight. They wrestle, chase and play together. They love the resident dogs and play chase, wrestle and tug of war. Josie likes to snuggle with my Golden.

Josie is a chunky puppy and very laid back. She will often retreat to her crate for a rest and stay there while her sister goes out. Josie loves to eat. She sits beside her bowl when it gets near meal time. She and Katie will run around the backyard with Josie trying to catch Katie. She loves toys and likes to carry them away to her crate or someplace to hoard them.

Josie has always been curious and bold. Steps were no problem nor going through doors. She has a very sweet disposition and loves to lay at your feet and come over for some petting. She is smart and knows to sit for meals and treats, come when called and stop whatever she is doing when you tell her ‘no.’

Josie has found her forever family. She will have two human siblings, a young boy and girl and live in Carver MN. Her new mom hopes to train her to be a therapy dog and be able to bring Josie to work with her. She certainly has the temperament for that but regardless will be a great family dog.
