Hi, I'd like to introduce myself. My name is Keely (FKA Chelsea), and I am 11 years old. I'm a former RAGOM dog, and was adopted by a loving family that I spent the next 10 years of my life with. I am aging, (who isn't, lol?) and my family realized they were not able to provide all I need to live my senior years comfortably.

In my new forever home, I need someone who understands that I need to be let outside every 2.5 to 3 hours when I am not in my kennel and have free roam of the house.

My FM (foster mom) says I have the best manners she's ever seen in a dog. I know how to sit, stay, down, shake, wait, and leave it. Very rarely, but on occasion when I am on my leash outside, FM tells me to "leave it" because I get so excited and start shouting at other dogs. I don't do this because I am mean or aggressive, but how else can I tell the other dogs that I really like them and think we all need to play together?  FM just gives me a treat to divert my attention and/or cross to the other side of the street.

In my foster home, there is a little dog who lives here & I really like him. We spend time lazing around, as we are close in age. Our favorite thing to do is nap together.

I like people and children of all ages. In my forever home, I need someone who understands that I am a low maintenance dog. I enjoy my frequent outside breaks, short walks, and the rest of the time being adorable and wanting treats. I nap a lot, so I am a perfect addition to a lower-key household. I do well in my crate for several hours, but I am also very good having free roam of the house. My favorite place to sleep is in the big bed spooning FM and little dog. I do have several dog beds and am fine sleeping on those as well.

I am such a good girl, could you be my perfect match for my furever home?

Hi everypawdy!! It's been a few weeks since I've checked in. I've been busy recovering from some much needed surgery to help me stay healthy in my senior years. All my dead teeth are gone and some non cancerous lumps were removed. Can you believe my FM (foster mom) took photos of me? I'm not even going swimming and I'm wearing this flotation device. I guess it is to help me not bother my sutures and is more fashionable & comfy than some "cone of shame" device she told me about.

FM also told me I have some really nice people to thank for their generous donations to help with my care. Laura K, Leslie, Alex, Ryan and Laura, IMO their sweet Nevada, and last but not least, Carolyn O.

More exciting news is that my nails are at the best length they've ever been since I came into foster care. FM says I prance now.

I love my car rides and my short frequent walks, I get nice and tuckered out & I sleep with my golden smile firmly in place.

Hi, it's me, Keely. FM (foster mom) says it's time to toot my own horn again. so toot toot.

I've been here for 6 weeks now, and I have perfect manners as it pertains to doing my "business" outside. We are even on the third floor of our apartment building. FM says that is very remarkable, as many new foster dogs tend to regress in this area for a short while. Of course I'll let you scratch my belly as I snuggle up next to you, when we come in from outside.

FM feels I would do fine in a town home or an apartment. I do not need a huge fenced in backyard. I would still love my short walks we take daily. My forever home needs to understand that I can still be reactive to other dogs while I'm on my leash, until I get settled in to my new surroundings. I hardly ever shout at the the other dogs anymore, this makes FM happy, and I love to please her, (You should see the awesome treats she gives me for jobs well done). **hint hint, future forever home, stock up on treats, my manners are 100% with knowing I get a reward.** There are many children of all ages that live at my foster apartment complex. While they are waiting for the school bus in the mornings, I get a million pets and scratches, I'm a big hit with them. FM lets them all take turns with me to do my "shake" trick, i never get tired of this. FM says children in my forever home would actually be great, but not required.

I have also started playing with my squeaky toys I brought with me here- I love tug 'o war and fetching my tennis ball. FM says she can see my playful puppy side come out, like I don't have a care in the world.

I'm still a huge cuddle bug. There is a boy man who lives here, and I keep him company on football Sunday. I like to put my paw on whomever I'm snuggling to make sure they're still there. Maybe I can be your new permanent couch surfing buddy? Please talk to your placement advisor if you think I'm the perfect girl for you.

Hi, it's me Keely. FM (foster mom) says it's time for me to tell you all what I've been up to. I've been here three weeks, and boy, am I feeling comfy here. Everyday, we go to a neat dog park, right where we live! I go in there and run a few laps and eat the snow while doing so. FM laughs and laughs, I don't even know why, but it seems to make her happy. I'm so happy and content here.

I mentioned before, that sometimes I shout at the other dogs when we go outside and I'm on leash. FM says I'm getting better and better about that, that I really just talk at them now. I'd just love to play with all these dogs. I'll settle for that little dog that lives here. Even though I'm younger than him, I'm teaching him that we wait outside the kitchen for treats.

FM says I'm the best snuggler ever. I'd love to have a forever home that enjoys down time, I'm so good at it. I now come over to FM and nudge her hand, in true golden fashion, when I need extra pets. Sometimes she goes 5 minutes without scratching me, and I have to remind her. She says it's so endearing. Jeez, im just being the sweetheart that I am. I'm all the way transitioned to grain free food, my coat is shiny and my eyes are bright. FM says I'm going to make my forever family feel like they hit the jackpot.
