Madison 07-309

Profile

Are you looking for a fluffy, energetic bundle of cuteness?  Meet Madison!

Maddie is a 4 month old golden retriever puppy that came to us from a humane society in Iowa.  She was surrendered to them because her family did not have time for her.  This is not an uncommon excuse when someone surrenders a dog.  Maddie deserves the very best in life, so of course we will be looking for a family that not only has the time now for a sweet but mischievous puppy, but will continue to make spending time with her a priority for the rest of her life!  Maddie's first stop in Minnesota was at the vet for a check up and microchip.  She weighed in a 31 pounds and is in good health, aside from a little ear infection.  Madison needs a family that will be committed to taking her to obedience classes where she can learn not to mouth people or jump up for attention.  She is VERY food motivated, so training will be easy.  While waiting for the vet we started working on sitting for attention and she is already catching on.  We're just getting to know this sweetheart, but we will write more after an evening of playing in the yard, a good meal and a bath.

It is with great sadness that we inform you of our sweet Maddie's passing. She crossed the Rainbow Bridge on December 21, 2018. We are heartbroken.

Maddie had a great time meeting people at Petsmart today!  She also enjoyed playing with the other foster dogs -- and especially enjoyed stealing their toys.  Several donated toys were handed out at the event but Madison was pretty sure they should all be HER toys.  She was very nice about swiping the toys and running off with them.  She also met a potential forever family and we will visit them again tomorrow -- cross your paws!
