Maisie has been adopted by the L family. She will be spending her days playing with her furry brother, Thor, and will enjoy life at a lake home many of her days. Maisie will be a wonderful addition to this dog-loving family.

Maisie is now a 2-year-old dog as she recently celebrated her birthday on May 4th. She has the most beautiful long feathers on her tail.

She was previously adopted; however, due to financial reasons has been surrendered to RAGOM once again. She is up to date on all preventatives and vaccinations.

Maisie has graduated from a basic obedience class. She knows many commands such as sit, down, stay, drop it, off, leave it, and come. We still spend time working on training commands daily and are currently working on strengthening and reinforcing the "come" command.

Maisie is a very curious girl and does have a high prey drive for rabbits and squirrels. She can very easily be distracted by them and will chase them around the yard. She is capable of jumping a 4-foot fence to chase a squirrel or rabbit that taunts her, so her home will require a higher fence.

She gets along well with other dogs and enjoys their company. She attends doggy daycare and also frequently visits the local dog park. She has lived with another dog, but does not require one in her adoptive home.

Maisie has a very high energy level and must be exercised daily. A family with someone that wants a running partner would be a good fit for this active girl. A long walk of at least 30 minutes in length is a minimum level of exercise she requires daily.

She does not have any thunderstorm or fireworks anxieties, nor does she have separation anxiety. Her crate is her safe spot, and she can be crated for a normal work day and often sleeps in it at night.

Maisie is a very sweet girl who will add much love to a family.

(Maisie's Original Introductory Update)

Introducing Miss Maisie! This delightful girl is beautiful, petite at 55 pounds, was born 5/4/2016 and is just 11 months old. Maisie was part of a family that loved her enough to realize that they could not give her the exercise and training she requires and successfully care for their senior dog. They made the painful and loving decision to allow RAGOM to find this special girl her forever home.

At first, Maisie was startled by new things, like the squeak of a ball, but she has adjusted quickly. Now, that squeaky ball is a favorite toy, one that she tosses in the air and chases around as she adorably entertains herself. She may entertain herself well, but she is still a pup and requires a watchful eye.

Maisie’s exercise comes in the form of lots and lots of walks. Initially, Maisie would either walk in a heel position, or she would pull like crazy and want to chase after squirrels. Typical puppy! With the use of an Easy Harness, Maisie has made great strides, her walking skills have greatly improved.

Maisie is very comfortable in her crate, sleeps in it with no problem and will enter it on her own, though a few treats never hurt.

We know that Miss Maisie is house trained and will whine at the door, loves car rides and her crate, takes treats very gently, does well with other dogs (we been doing slow introductions) and plays well on her own. Maisie is a fast learner and she wants to please.

She is also a puppy, and will act like one, she just needs ample opportunity to work off that puppy energy. A tired puppy is a happy puppy!

Maisie currently not cat tested. She did show a lot of interest in the family cat and constantly wanted to play a little too rough. Maisie is an exuberant pup who will show that enthusiasm to a young child. Dog savvy young kids would fit best with Maisie.

Maisie is a sweet, beautiful, energetic pup. She loves to be outside and watch the wildlife and to curl up in your lap. Maisie would enjoy another dog to play with, but one is not required.
