Max 10-182

Profile

Meet Max!  He is a beautiful 4.5 year old, purebred male and has been with us for almost a week.  He was just into the vet for a visit, is current on all vaccinations, healthy as can be and will be neutered next week.  Max was surrendered to RAGOM by a family that was moving to a place that does not allow dogs, so lucky Max is looking for the perfect family!

He is great with other dogs, and with my 6 and 9 year old children.  Max is 100% potty trained and he doesn’t seem too interested in cats.  He looks and acts like a puppy, and I don’t think he has had any obedience training.  Max needs lots of exercise and a family that will work with him on his manners (he would love to counter surf if given the chance!)  Check out our handsome boy~

This fantastic dog passed away on March 23, 2018. Max was a beautiful pet who came to us mostly perfect from RAGOM when we were sadly missing another Golden.  Thank you, RAGOM, for making him part of our lives. We will never forget our beloved buddy. His vet believed he suffered from a form of blood or lymph cancer. Until the last couple of months, he loved walks, food, car rides, accompanying mom and dad during all chores and yard work, and eating snow.

Here is a fantastic poem written about Max on Jan.12, 2012 by our daughter:

Ode to My Dog Max

Playful, lovable, cute and furry.

Loud, whiny, energetic and brainy.

I always find myself loving you more,

Than the day I did before.

If we're on a walk it will be a hurry,

Rain, shine, snow or flurries.

It's pretty hard core.

My foot my develop a sore.

Why won't you go outside to potty

Unless someone is with you, like Mommy?

When someone walks through the door,

You act like a burglar alarm, creating an uproar.

Off the floor you eat every crumby.

I know you like to fill your tummy.

When I bring a treat from the store,

You're always ready for an encore.

Even though you can be whiny,

You still make me smiley.

One thing I know for sure,

We will always have amour.

Sincerely, The W Family

Hello, RAGOM!

Max is doing just great. He has been with us for almost four months. We feel so lucky! He has brought so much happiness, energy and fun to our home.

Foster mom Mary M.  recommended obedience training right away, and she was so right.

Max graduated August 18th. He is a very good boy and loves it here. He takes two long walks every day. He is the sweetest, happiest, funniest thing you ever saw. Thanks for the opportunity to adopt such a fantastic golden. He is just awesome!

Your friends,

The W Family
